  • Tailoring trophy advice

so, i just dinged 300 in tailoring (woot), but my trophy is still and expert tailor trophy. it's 89% evolved.

here's my dilemma: should i trash the expert trophy and do the master's quest, or evolve the the expert trophy? my concern is that i hate to waste combines evolving the trophy when i could just do some legwork for the master's trophy. but, i hate to destroy the expert trophy so i can get the master's task.

if it's going to be like 10 combines to get an 89% expert trophy evolved to master's, i'd certainly do that. but i don't want to blow 100 combines getting it there.

does anyone have specific experience with evolving trophies once your skill surpasses the quality level of the trophy? any numbers? combines / evolve percentage point?

    thanks!

It should just be about 11 or so combines. Personally, I'd evolve your current trophy. I had almost the exact same with my smithing trophy.

thanks. it took me 9 combines to go from 89% expert to 1% master's trophy!

The exact numbers of successful (only successful combine evolve trphies) per 1% is different and based on the tradeskill, the difficulty of the combine, your current skill level etc...

However there are a few things we know (a certain Ogre has stated). If your skill advances to a tier above your trophy (as you did), then the trophy will evolve at a rate 11 times faster than if it were at the same level. (Two tiers is 21 times as fast and 3 tiers is 31 times as fast, and so on).

There is plenty more information about trophies, but I think that answers your question.
