  • Making Armor templates

How do I go about making the templates? I have tried every combination I can think of and also every type of kit/loom. I can't figure out how to cure the silk, etc.

Please help and thanks in advance.

    re: templates

Be sure you have bought the historical books and scribed them. Then bring up template using search.

This isn't working for me. I have six of the books scribed and can pull up the cultural armor recipes just fine, but the templates are not showing up at all.

the template recipes come from a separate vendor.

one vendor has smithing and tailoring template recipe books. the icons for these look like books.

another vendor has cultural smithing scrolls, both for symbols and for armor. the icons for these look like scrolls.

another, other vendor has the cultural tailoring stuff...

and a 4th has tinkering stuff.

did you maybe get the stuff from the cultural guy but not the general guy?

Thank you, that did it. I didn't realize there were two different vendors carrying the recipes.

So, I'm able to make the templates, but how does one actually create the item? (Crude Silk Belt from a Crude Silk Belt Template) - I have scribed all of the books, but don't see a recipe for the finished product (assuming that there is one) - Forgive my ignorance if this is a silly question -- I've been out of the game for many years.

            Thanks

Only some of the recipes actually make armor, the rest are for practice.

Make sure youre using your cultural sewing kit. The recipes will only appear for that container.

                  There are 11 templates.

                  There are 4 armors. (currently)

I do not think Crude is used currently.

Fine Silk/Hide & Rhenium Ore = level 60 armor (old masters)
Superb Silk/Hide & Cobalt Ore = level 70 armor (old GM)

Each cultural book will tell you which template is needed.

The rest of the templates are JSUT for skillup at this point. Sell back to NPC for minimal loss.

I kinda figured that after seeing other posts. Thanks a bunch! Also, I'm guessing that the components (silk/leather/ore/etc) have no value on purpose right? Was this done just to balance things out? I love vendor farming, and not being able to sell them to vendors is a bummer

Thanks again for some great new recipes though!

                          Not high enough skill...

The thing you gotta keep in mind is that the top level books wil lnot show up if your skill is not high enough. The Elaborate book and the Step XI book do not show up until your skill is at least 275 unmodded.

                            recipes

I know of at least one person that scribed all the books but cannot get the recipes to show in search. I told him a recipe and it worked and that one now shows. Scribed all the books twice with no luck.

Kind of silly to ask, but they are using cultural tailoring kit or cultural forge; right?
