  • Why is tailoring so difficult in EQ?

Shissar scale people excluded... although they still have it hard.
But why is tailoring so hard and expensive in EQ? Did the devs have mothers who could not even sew some of their torn pants?
When one thinks of it, tailoring is by a far long shot with no reason to look back easier then pottery, jewelery making, fletching, and even vastly easier then smithing metal bits on your best day for blacksmithing. Yet on EQ it is the hardest skill to max out. Is there any reason for it at all other then devs seem to have some unmentioned reason against it?

Smithing is also hard (shadowscream anyone?) or expensive (MCS) and harder still if you don't have the TSS expansion to use the sunshard stuff.

But those pales in comparasion to rogue. How many of them still do poison making at 250+? Considering the poison are rogue useable only and often no drop, there is no money for rogues and some high end geared rogue often do great dps without the poisons.

To be quite honest Poison Making is not that difficult or expensive to get to 300.

I am not sure if i remember what my rog used, but the 'farmable' part of the recipies were things like...

Ok looked it up, Scoriae Bite. need to 'farm' Golden Ember Powder and Phosphorous Powder, but they are very common and easly found on vendors and in Baz.

Also if you have your Grandmaster Assassin's Seal you dont need to worry about making the Advanced vials because it returns your vials to you when you combine the poisons into 5 or 10 dose ones.

On top of the ease of Poison Making posted above... Rogues do have a huge way to make money through hunting in OoW... Augments. The entire cost of skilling poison making on my alt was made up with one success on an aug. I find it hard to believe that poison making is hard or expensive.
