I have a bag full of those on a mule somewhere from waaayyy back when I was selling fine plate of various colors.

And yea... Bear, Wolf, or Rockhopper Hides/Pelts... rather like what are needed now.

Purple and White need two components for the dye, or need two dyes to properly get the color to 'take'. For white... I don't suppose anyone has ever heard of 'Bleach'...

Blue, Green and Yellow Bag Recipes found

There's some great ideas posted here, but Ngreth is just an ogre. Think SIMPLE.

I've found 3 different recipes, plus one variation which let's us interpolate 6 different combines.

As predicted, they're all broken at the moment. They all produce Hand-made backpacks. (WTS)

The dyes used are the old smithing dyes from what I can tell.

Each recipe requires BOTH a HQ wolf pelt AND [ either high quality bear or high quality rock hopper. ]

Silver thread and backpack pattern to finish.

Now, we haven't been able to work out the purple, and we tried both light gray and gray dye with blue dye. We also tried grey by itself, but not surprisingly, that's not colorful enough.

Any ideas on another grey dye that would fit with this pattern?

We haven't tried the lye, but we have the yellow dye to try it with. I'm too tired to go track down the fungus for that red dye.

Yay! Colored Bags =)

Thought I read somewhere that the combos don't actually make a colored bag yet. Is that right? If so, if we make one before the patch that makes them show up, will they "turn" into the right color? Just curious.

I didn't know that they existed until today. I'm very excited

You are correct. Currently, they make normal Handmade Backpacks. These will NOT become colored backpacks when the bug is fixed (according to Ngreth on the sony boards)...so hold off until the fix goes into place.

It's all good, Ngreth. I just got her to combine them to be the first. I knew I wouldn't actually get the bags.

Using CYMK, it'd be mostly magneta with a bit of cyan but I don't think we have any magneta or cyan base in the game. Maybe red or dark red + light blue?

We know Evergreen is for green, Jack O Lantern for yellow, and Permafrost for blue. I don't have all the stuff but by going with old school dyes, charcoal could be for black and white (light gray) and Sarcosypha fungus for red. There's also Iron Oxide for red rust (dark red I guess) and Russet Oxide for brown but I doubt those are used since bags are brown to begin with.

Well, CMYK would be something like
.4 cyan/blue
.4 black/gray
1.0 magenta/red

The poem doesn't mention 3 colors, only the 2. Therefore, I'd guess a light blue and a light gray. And IF there was 3 colors, then a red.

Purple Backpack uses Light Blue and Light Gray. I just combined it.
