Hmm - just checked, and these are the exact same stats as the smithed longsword - also 1hs.

The whip takes 5 tae ew blood and one flawless hide.
The longsword takes one tae ew blood.

Nope no joke, the first one failed and actually returned a heady kiola.

It is nice to discover new things, but you are right that stats are the same as the long sword but take 5 times the blood plus a dropped hide. I am hoping Sony sees this and either upgrades the the whip stats or changes the whip recipie.

I think the CT failure returns are all messed up, as well as the return on utility items. For example, the tae ew shield (smithing) using a smithy hammer, but returns a velium smithy hammer for some reason. I have yet to fail on any CT item (12/12 at 250 skill), so don't know what would happen on a failure....

Gratz, but OUCH ....

5 blood for 1 whip, and the smiths are raking it up on shields for 1 blood and chain tunics for 2 bloods ....
