High Elf GM Book Quest bugged again?

Last night I completed all 4 of the listed steps for the GM book (kill 120 spiders, loot 80 eye clusters, hail Elistar, and kill 10 drakes), and after I completed these steps I never received a quest finished message. I did receive messages stating I completed each of the 4 individual steps though. In the past, there were 2 additional steps which needed to be completed for the GM book those being 5) looting 1 razor-sharp claw and then 6) rehailing Elistar. Even though these other 2 steps are NOT even listed under the CURRENT newly revised quest, I attempted them anyways without success. I am wondering if these last 2 steps were intentionally or accidentally omitted and if the quest is still bugged. Thanks for your help. -Gillianae

did you go to your artisan and say "broken"

If so, then something else is wrong with quests overall (not just this one)

i'm a hie, was 30/120 and 3/36 eyes, went to Elistar, followed the steps, had some 'updated' messages etc.
At no point I zoned, ld etc...
I went back in Death Comes Swiftly instance, killed spiders, looted eyes, no updates, so I removed the task because 30 and 3 was not a lot, I did the 'pre-quest' again, went again in instance, still no update messages, so I gave up and I don't think I'm gonna make symbols...

I just went and looted an
"arachnid eye cluster" and got a task update...

"Death Comes Swiftly" takes place in The Ascent instance. The High Elf GM task requires the Lavaspinner's Lair instance. (It did when I completed it, anyway).

Try a different task that takes place in Lavaspinner's Lair, like "Lavaspinner Hunting" given by Boldger Bristlebeard.

yeah, you definitely what a Lavespinner instance as the task indicates.

ok my bad, it works !
at least I had some Coarse Spider Silk in DCS instance
