  • How to get past 275?

With TSS, its possible at a relatively low cost of about 1k pr combine to get to 275...

But how on earth to get past that as a dwarf?

    Any ideas?

And please don't holgresh or othmir me Thats impossible. Would need about 25x20 combines at 4 othmir skins each.
4 skins is about average for 20 minutes of farming. (repop time)

I find it absolutely clueless to spend 500 times 20 mins on getting the last skillups. All it would prove was that I have no life at all. I mean really cement that fact compared to much other farming

Nightmare arachnid silks + crushed diamond dust is even worse.

Why isn't there an equivalent of the mistletoe cutting sickle for tailoring? Though that would be reliving hell on earth after smithing, it would be a fair alternative to othmir farming.

And as tailoring is one of the "7" tradeskills, it should be somewhat equally "easy" to skill up in, regardless of race. It certainly isn't now. Fletching has been made slightly easier with PoR bows, which I greatly appreciate, though still not easy at all for a dwarf.

Is it too much to ask for to get the solstice robe back to a 335 trivial or an equally high trivial combine that takes some effort to make as regards to planning and resources? Just something else than clueless bashing of otters. Something that requires a bit of thinking, and not so much braindead activity.

CDD and nightmare silk (master symbols) isnt as crazy as it used to be. I picked up 3 stacks of cdd recently for 200pp a gem, then farmed the silk during a couple lunches

The Ceremonial Solstice Robe was the Sickle for tailoring until the nerf bat hit and changed the triv to 252.

CDD is much more common now in TSS, and nightmare arachnid silks aren't that hard to farm for most classes.

Could also do seals, ice silk, velium hound, velium mastodon. But othmir/holgresh is probably the easiest unless you can find lots of cdd in the bazaar.

I had to end up doing a mix of whatever I could get my hands on. I did Othmir, Holgresh, Velium Hound/Mastodon, a couple of Ice Silk (way too hard to get), some Master's augs, and (for the last two points) some Grandmaster augs as well, the one I found to be farily nice towards the end were the Seals for the DODH augs... Mottled Hide, Magnificent Hide, Coarse Silk?, and Shimmering Silk (tho that's the last blood so they're rare and $$). If you're patient with buying the two lower ranked ones, you can pick them up for 400-600 (at least on Bert), which with everything else should have the cost at ~1k. I was impatient and paid up to 1.5k, cause holgresh were running ~2k a combine towards the end there

mastodon/hound/ice burrower/otter/holgresh ,hell i even did some pop combines (fire tributes well!!)

                    put up a buyer.
there is no easy way to max tailoring.
its either lot of farming or lot of buying. enjoy !

Tailor Ceramic Clay goes to 262, which is 275 with a geerlok. I suspect that's what was meant.

It's not to hard to get a stack or more of sporali skins a day in Direwind. and less competition during the day.

Ahh ... if you factor in the greelok that makes sense. Although wasp spider silk still seems a bit rare in the baz.
