Anyone have any suggestions on a good solo kiting path for the Spiders that drop the Silk in PoN? I know two great paths for the ravens for AAXP, but spiders are something else all together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have farmed 1000s of Silks there and I basically did a stand up fight all the time by 2 boxxing a Chanter/Pally and I do NOT recommend kiting there for one reason basically: the tree "traps".

There are at least 2 "traps" that proximity spawn 3+ hatchling spiders.

If you can stand up fight them, do it. I generally cross the river then set up near the Terror Matriarch/consorts right by the river and start clearing.

IIRC only the consorts/matriarch summon but there are wandering mobs in that area that can cause many headaches. I may be wrong but I think kiting there is a very bad idea.

fairly certain that all the spiders that can drop the nightmare silk summon so its gonna have to be grouping if ye cant solo em very well

Are they single pulls from there or do you get 2 at a time? I'm pretty sure I can solo tank them one at a time, but if there are 2 at a time, can a 70 necro and 63 beastlord duo there?

Some come solo but several don't. It can get kinda claustrophobic with all the other Kos mobs around you too. You will need some sort of CC (root will do) if you can't tank more than one.

I am 99% certain that only the Terror Matriarch and the two consorts (her guards) summon. Matriarch is on a 72 hour respawn and the consorts are on either 42 or 72 minute respawn. Other than that the creepers (silk droppers) do not summon. Most will have to be split or CC'd at first.

Consorts can be pulled without aggoring the Matriarch (by a 70 puller at least) but not vice versa. Consorts and Matriarch can also drop silks.

Ozadar, I think a 70 Nec/63 BL should be able to hold their own there. The creepers and consorts do not run but the hatchlings do if you trigger a tree "trap" (which I would highly advise you do not do). There are at least 2 traps in the general vicinity and you will find them fairly early on.

May I also suggest killing the 2 Tar'dak hunters along the river if you are ahead of the spawn. If you have /dynamiclighting ON and the hunters are glowing that means they have a Great Reptile Tooth (highly sought after by MAster's smiths) those sell well on most servers IIRC.

Half of them are immune to root/snare (and yeah I forget which ones, since I just never root any of them). I usually set up near the river and pulled with my bow to avoid spawning the traps. Like most trap spawns, if you move away fast enough they won't aggro (and despawn a few min later). But they do add to the creepers if you pull them through.

A level 70 necro can solo the entire camp fairly easily. Used the pet and some aa's to solo matriarch and her guards as well.

Post TSS patch: silk droppers no longer drop silken strands.

Predator creepers can be snared and rooted the other of which the name escapes me atm can not be. predator is a 55 to 57 mob the other 59 to 61 i think. Remember they also will proc a feign death on you sometimes, same as giants in pos not sure what resist this falls under I just buff up my mr. There is a nice little kiting area and its pretty obvious where, just have a look around. I routinely clear this camp for my own silk and to keep a batch on my trader. When I started adding this camp to my cycle silks were about 1500pp per in bazaar. Since then Ive been able to bring this price down to 750per any lower and you just start inviting rebuyers which I have enough trouble already with my baking goods. It would be nice to see enough of this enter the market where the price could go even lower but untill then I am happy with the extra plat.

I have never seen this in all my time in PoNightmare.

Hmm It happens and it happens a fair bit not so much to me although I pull with tash and these things run so fast that I usually take a few hits before my pet can pull him off me. So once in a blue moon I get it. To my pet I see it happen every other fight almost. I use gargs for my pet here but you can plainly see him lie down then get up again. Same happens when it manages to proc it on me. This is usually a good time to hit the bathroom and what not because even if charm goes your FDed.

Maybe your resists are way higher then mine.

                          Interesting.

Now that you mention it I have seen my DC pet FD now and then but it has never hapepened to any of my toons.

I should not have been so fast to dismiss what you said. Very interesting.

                          Please accept my apologies.

Definitely can verify that they can FD you. The proc is Paralyzing Venom. Made for interesting hunting at lvl 60 when PoP came out. By the time I hit 65 on them, it almost never landed. At 70, I would expect it would never land on anyone at all anymore.
