  • Tailoring Changes in Serpent Spine Expansion

    Has anybody heard any details on how they are planning to change/nerf tailoring in the next expansion? Trying to figure out if I need to change my farming habits sooner than later, if you catch my drift.

    If there is another post already started concerning this, I'd be obliged.

          Ngreth, not a problem at all, and I was hoping you would post to this thread. If I dare read into your reply, sounds like not much will change in tradeskills with this expansion. As such, I probably won't be doing as much binge-farming of tailoring items in the next few weeks. I like to skip around and work on this and that as I come by the ingredients. Tailoring always seems to be slow for me.

            Until they lift the information black-out on beta, I don't think any body can talk about changes.

            Even Ngreth can't talk about it.

            Best thing to do is get into beta somehow and find out.

              Ngreth can't talk about it? I'd assuming Devs can talk about beta... but for the main point of my post... Beta isn't for finding things out about TSS, it's for testing TSS so it doesn't have bugs.

                A nerf is a type of adjustment. It was a Nerf because contrary to what was said no counter balance was ever given to make up for the lopsidedness of the changes. That and the fact that contrary to what was said none of the other TSs had similiar changes made.

                    Just a note, the Beta NDA only applies to information in the Beta program. Anything posted on official SOE forums by SOE, or even if the big N gives us a clue here is NOT covered under the NDA.

                    There have been a couple of "press-releae" style tours of the new expansion and info gleaned from that or sources other than the Beta can be talked about....

                    Anyhow, back to the story at hand, I thought it was unfortunate that SOE decided to spend time to reverse engineer the progression server... and take time away from Dev's already hectic schedules. At least I assume that is one of the reasons the big N couldn't get around to tailoring at the moment.

                    I trust that TSes are getting lovin now, and waiting is no longer in vain, just painful. My suggestion to Oz is to get in the BETA and do with that information what you will as I believe one of the perks of being in beta is advance info on tradeskills and "pre-farming", while not encouraged, is allowed.

                    Ten.

                      i really dont know anything to say to add to this..
                      its more of a question about the NDA thing..
                      if i have a screenshot of my char in Qeynos Hills doing a 65000 damage hit (evidently my bow did double damage on a Finishing Blow) and i have a screenshot of it.. since it in no way has anything to do with TSS, can i post said screenshot on one of my forums as a funny pic? hehe been scared to do anything

                        I don't think it really affected my time.

                        I spent about 60 minutes on progression server work.

                        All I know is they asked me "what needs done" I gave them what needed done with time estimates.

                        When I got my schedule... the tailoring revamp was not on it.

                              AFAIK, The Big N didn't play a large role in the progression servers. It was The Big M.
