  • Reinforced Medicine Bag

I made one of these on the Combine Server, very nice item, yet I have no clue what to sell them for. I've done a search here and in the Bazaar, but I can't find a price. I figure about 100pp, perhaps, but very, very, few people on the combine will have that kind of cash.

2.5 weight, 10 slot, 10% weight reduction, Giant, that's pretty darn amazing!

The first thing you have to realize is that you can't in ANY way use the prices on the normal servers to decide how much something is worth on Combine or Sleeper. The normal servers have a TOTALLY different economy than the 2 progression servers do. A good rule of thumb is to use the total cost of what it would be to make it and add a couple plat to that. So I would say 5-10pp, which on those servers is quite a bit of money.

Also, another thing to remember is that the combine button on those bags no longer work (unless it was reverted back for the progession servers, which I doubt). They can still be used as a regular alchemy bag though.

These bags used to be used to make 5 and 10 dose potions. However, since the revamp of alchemy all of the potions now stack. I haven't made any potions on the progression servers yet; however, I'm pretty sure that they did not change alchemy back to the old.

It is still a good bag, but like the person before me said, it will probably only sell for about 5-10pp if that. Not sure how big a demand it is for bags. Best way to find out is to do an ooc and don't list a price. See how many bites you get and see if anyone makes an offer. If they want you to put a price, then I would say to make your best guess. If it sells well at that price, then you have found the price of the bag.

      Good luck.

        5-10pp for these???

If that were true I wouldn't be able to sell the Hand Made Backpacks for 75pp. I put 15 of the tokens on my vendor and they are gone overnight. Sometimes they are bought by resellers who then sell them for 100-125pp. I can never keep enough of the Backpacks in stock to not sell out in 2 days.

Being that the Bags hold Giant items while the Backpacks only hold up to large, and they are both 10 slot 10% WR, I would expect these bags to go for at least 125-150pp.

It should work... is it actually not working? It jsut no longer does the 5/10 dose potions... instead it jsut does alchemy.

Absolutely understand that, heh. Naturally it’s going to be based on the economy and supply/demand. It’s a great item nonetheless, selling it for 10pp would be insane under normal circumstances.

I’m not going to sell the ones I make till the demand is there or I’ll make them for high-end trades.
I have seen people attempting to sell them for 10pp, which just makes me hurt physically, LOL.

I just meant that the old function of making the 5/10 dose potions no longer works. I still had some single doses after the patch that took down that functionality, so I know for a fact that you can't make the 5/10 dose potions, which was intended, but still annoying that I have several slots that could be used for other stuff if the old potions stacked or could be combined with the bag. (sorry for the huge run-on, lol)

I use mine for regular alchemy combines all the time now, so yes that function does work.

                The Sleeper

Actually on The Sleeper Server, these go for 4-8pp each. Handmade Backpacks are selling for a few pp less. Like others have pointed out, you cannot in any way compare prices on the Regular servers to the Progression servers.

Someone was trying to sell a High Quality Lion skin for 400pp on The Sleeper today. He nearly got lynched. (I made a feeble attempt to explain how hard they are to get, but had no success). I was paying 4k for them on Cazik. The economies are totally different.

People are paying 2-5pp for a stack of Spider or Spiderling Silk. The hot items are Dragoon Dirks, GLS's, Steins of Moggok, etc. (Basically all the classic items from 1999-2000 in the game).

Good Luck and watch the carpel Tunnel.

I personally think this particular bag was meant to have a "Small" size tag for it's size capability. I would not be the least bit surprised if it gets changed in the near future.

                  Maddoc purposefully made it larger.

Hmmmm...the very first Highland Lion I killed on Combine dropped a High Quality and I immediately ran off and bought a pair of Lion Skin gloves from the NPC in Kithicor with it. What else are they used for?

They are used to make fleeting quivers, these give 60% weight reduction and 20% bow haste.

The Fleeting Quiver is the best quiver in the game. Every higher level Ranger will eventually want one.

However, the prices for the HQ Lion Skin are deflated right now on the Progression servers, in my opinion. I have two of them and tried to sell them for 250p each and had no takers. But I do realize that there is not yet a market for them since archery has not yet become a valid for of DPS for Rangers. Once Luclin comes in with the EQ and AM AAs, there will be a sizable market for them. The other thing that hurts right now is that the trivial on the Fleeting Quiver combine is 222. If I am not mistaken, max skill that can be obtained at this moment is 158 when Wu's trivials, so nobody is going to be doing the combines anyway.

Kunark opens soon, though, so maybe enough new recipes will become available to push the Fleeting Quiver recipe out of the red and into the yellow so at least it can be attempted.
