  • Tailoring Route to Wu's

This is my little route to Wu’s. Since there isn’t a way to see just ‘old world’ recipes, I just plotted a route the best I could remember. I’m trying to do this in stages to keep my cost manageable and trivials realistic. Any suggestions or alternatives would be appreciated.

    Silk Bandage (21)

    Tattered (26)

    Leather Padding (31)

    Raw Silk (36)

    Studded Armor (56)

    Cured Silk (82)

    Wu’s (88)

I'd skip the silk bandages since they take 4 spiderling silks each. You also plan on smithing so those would be better used in leather padding in my opinion.
1-15 with silk swatch or silk thread, and 16-26 tattered mask would be my suggestion. might be a bit wider trivial range but the mask patterns are only 5silver each and the ruined pelts are common enough to not have to worry about a few extra failures.

Greyhopper armor. Triv at 88 or 95. Very easy to farm the hides in Mares Seru.

Oh yeah.....skip everything below studded armor and do the freebie quest in Abysmal Sea. Will get you to 54 free of charge and you can refine muramite scales after you finish all the combines.

Oops...re-read your post and I suspect you are asking about the regression server. Have fun in the karanas hunting pelts and silks.

Thanks Sharrien, I suppose I should have mentioned this was a list for the Combine Server, heh.

I'm currently at 29 after capping out patchwork recipes.

Tailored large bags are a fairly hot seller at 2-3pp each. They also trivial at 41, making them a good stepping stone to 88. I'm working up to 36 making Raw Silk, then making the large bags.

From there, you have studded recipes through 56, followed by cured silk to 82. If you find you have a ton of cash to burn, you can also do woven mandrake through 66 followed by picnic baskets through 76. At 1.05pp per combine, however, this option is spendy to say the least. By comparison, a heady kiola costs 0.23pp; cured silk masks require only one (plus a silk swatch) per attempt.

The tailored bags are nice; however, it sucks to fail three+ times in a row when it takes a silk cord (i.e. 9 spiderling silks) per combine. Feel like I've been farming spiders for days lol

I was lucky and made a reinforced medicine bag on my 2nd try. I'm up to 40 in tailoring and making Large Bags. I'll be making soem studded today, as I'm working on my Smithing as well.

If you've got the plat, you can still do Woven Mandrake (two mandrake roots). But at 5pp per combine, I don't think too many have the cash to do that up to 66ish.

I'll bet Handmade Backpacks become popular again. 10 slot, giant size, 10% wr bags to fill up your bank. At least until Luclin gets unlocked for Trader's Satchels. HQ Bear Pelt + Silk Cord, Triv 88 as well. IIRC, they used to sell for 50-100pp each back in the day... good early money maker for tailors.

Thanks for the Woven Mandrake route. The server is too crowded to farm the silk IMO.

Handmade Backpacks don't use a silk cord.Just HQ bear/rockhopper pelt and a pattern:-)

Ahh... why not Abysmal Sea tailoring quest from 0-54? And if time is your thing, then yeah woven mandrake and picnic baskets next. Rest seems in order

Mandrake Root is 10pp per stack, so not 5pp per combine, but 1pp. Perhaps a bit steep for a progression server, but my druid hit trivial from 6 skill with less than a bag of the stuff.

Although I just now realized he has 255wis...your mileage may vary.

Edit1: yeah, my bad...5gp per root, 2 roots per combine, duh
