Well, I just got back into EQ after a year or so away, and I'm looking into working my way up to make my own cultural armor and symbols. So, I'm starting from a fairly low point. I am a 66 iksar necro (cazic is my religion) and am looking for a fairly cheap method of lvl'ing tailoring. I just trivial'd out on woven mandrake at 66. Any ideas? I'm farming spiders now for silks, but this is taking forever.

Use the tradeskill guides when looking for a skillup path their awesome.
http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=25961
DoN is always recommended because of the additional skillup bonus, which can be found at http://home.comcast.net/~drexxell/eq/donfarming.html and you'll see Spider Silks (Journeyman to 139) and then easiest is Drachnid Silks (Expert to 222). Forget about Great Reptile Hides (Master's) unless you have access to VP.
Spider silks farmed easiest in EK, and Drachnid Silks in DL.

Check out the guides linked in teh previous post.
As for Spider Silk, kill spiders in East karana (and kill all the PHers...snakes, lions, etc to spawn more)...they drop a LOT of silkMaster Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name

2 birds with one stone...
If you go thru the three drachnid camps in Dreadlands you get both regular spider silks plus Drachnid silks. If you are not up to the lvl in Tailoring that you can actually use the Drachnid silks you can hold onto them till you need them. When I was farming Drachnid Silks I was finding that I was getting about twice the amount of Spider Silks then Drachnid Silks. Plus its a good way to raise cash as alot of them drop 4-5 pp each. At 66 you should be able to tear thru them pretty easily.
