  • Suggestions for 223-242

Finally! Made it to 222, but alas, at a loss for how to get to 232 let alone 242. I've got some plans for beyond, but the 223-242 bridge is a tough nut to crack at the moment. I have access to foragers among other skills so that is in the mix.

I've read about making Epicthieck's Power Belt and Small Epicthieck's Power Belt by farming Corathus Entrails. They are 90pp loss per combine, which adds up after 300-400 combines. Do these actually sell in the bazaar or are they vendor foddor?

    Any other suggestions?

You might want to try othmir fur caps for a while. Since plat seems to be an issue, othmir combines are cheap (just a vial of clear mana and a silver thread), and you can farm 1k in cash items per hour if you can keep all the camps cleared.

True, but the 2 furs per combine is a little daunting. I'm thinking of wyverns too, since velium is so easy to get now. Part of me wants to wait for the next expansion, but I'm afraid it might be even harder.

My hearts desire is to do Robe of the Ethereal but Words of the Ethereal are rare as hell. I've had better odds getting Rune of the Tempest.

as far as corathus entrails i find it best to generally dive on the vendors in DoD since people tend to sell then rather than use them. there are 3 vendors in corathus and 4 in undershore.....granted 3 of the 4 the faction for them starts out at dubious....

4 in undershore? I think I missed a couple, where are they? I know of the vendor in the southwest area by various quest npcs.

as you zone in take a right there are 3 in the free trader area along with a banker. 1 in each of the big tents and one under a tarp thing next to the tents

GoD whips. Vender sellback reimburses most of the cost of the materials.

arctic wyvern, cobalt drake and otters are not a bad option at all. especially that you got the forager.
also hoppers can still be of some use.
from my experiance you can farm the wyvern / drake hides faster than the otters,so i would wait with those.
let them drive you insane later

Thanks AB-girlie. I was looking for info like that, and was leaning that way already. I've got a smattering of a little of everything, but the bazaar is finally letting me down on this tier. Back to slaughtering the wyverns. I'm kicking myself for selling about 30 or so of those hides to vendors back in my 40's years ago. Luckily, I still have a stack or so that I didn't sell.

                    Tigeraptors

Instead of wyverns in CS, I chose the route of binding in Western Wastes to forage Drake Eggs and gating to Wakening Lands to kill Tigeraptors, Panthers and Haze Panthers (with no competition...unlike wyverns). Yew leaves are a nearly impossible forage, so just hit the panthers that you run into on the way to the raptors. Always kill the Haze Panthers though (go go Haze Panther Eyes!). I got a stack of Raptor hides in about 3 hours, and I foraged up 19 Drake eggs (during the respawn). Raptors (and panthers) can drop multiple hides. Never saw that on a drake or wyvern. Anyway, foraging Drake eggs is easier and faster than fishing Cobalt Cod, imho.

So where are the raptors located at? I found about 6 sitting outside of Skyshine, but other than that, they are scattered far and wide within WL. If it is wander and kill, the wyverns are probably better since they are all lined up like bowling pins.

There are 3 spawn points that are by the Skyshrine entrance and the rest wander. However, they do not wander all over. For the most part, they are confined to the nearby area. It is much easier to farm them with a tracker (I farm them with my ranger or druid) than as a wizard...then again, that same tracker is a lot better at foraging than a wizard too.
