  • Fastest way to 250+, least farming, Update requested!

Ok, so im going out of my mind trying to find the fastest, simplest method to 250+ tailoring from the 80's, and everwhere you go there seems to be a different route for this that and the other thing. *twitch twitch* It's driving me nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what im requesting in this thread, and can possibly be stickied at a later date, is a fast, vendor purchasable (minimal farming) method to 250 tailoring or higher.

Please Grandmaster Tailors of Norrath. UNITE!! And assist us lowbies that aspire to be as great as you, in getting to that level of expertise.

I just want to be able to make my OWN cultural armor!

PS - Im not saying that there's going to be a 100% vendor purchasable method (which i know there isnt) but the less farming the better.

Sorry to disappoint but there isn't a vendor bough way past 76 (picnic baskets) if you are looking for the ABSOLUTE easiest way? I would have to say Epicthiechk's Power Belts and then turn them into Small power belts. This will take you to 252 and you only need to farm 1 item and its a fairly common drop (about 1 in 7 or so)

That would be my suggestion for the easiest but it will take ALOT of farming from 80 to 252. If you assume a 5% skill up rate thats roughly 1700 Corathus Entrails needed and at an estimated drop of 1 in 7 thats just under 12,000 killed beasties.

There you have it take it with a grain of salt. There are other methods to get to 250+ but I would say this is the most simple.

*edited numbers - forgot that each entral is 2 attepts for skill up *

I knew there wasnt going to be a vendor purchasable method (mentioned that in my PS on the original post). But this seems to be a good idea, except for the fact, the thread is 210pp each. Sounds quite expensive. Which at 1700 combines, is over 300k.. That, for some odd reason, doesnt sound right.

Anyone else have any methods they liked that where fairly simple? Also, how's about methods to make items that sell well in bazaar, im not worried about profit, if i can sell it for my costs thats all that matters to me right now.

The previouse post will go along way and if you like doing the LoY sash combines go for it. A new route available to you also is DoN Expert Aug's (and yes it requires farming) but you should make all your money back from the farming also. It requires Lambent Stones that can be gained from HG's(who also drop lots of PP) and Drachnid Silk in DL(pretty common drop as of this posting). Farming both components should net you a small profit although you have to do a quest(to get expert aug patterns) and farm two material parts vs. one with ribbons.

If your looking strictly for a vendor purchases route Soltice Robes are you answer. You just need to find you local druid/(cleric?) to enchant the emeralds but everything there can be vendor/bazaar purchased usually.

Good luck in your hunts as if your like most people you will be trying multiple ways to get a skill point from 222+
What is all the fuss about? So I forgot to pick you up at work...I just gained a level !!! -Favorite last words as I sleep on the couch

Go kill "a sand giant elite". There are 11 of them in South Ro and 5 or 6 in North Ro. They drop good coin, fine steel weapons and other vendor sellables, lambent stones, and essence of sunlight.

Don;t forget to go get a couple of faction tasks from an NPC called Tacos in South Ro, for Freeport faction, plus a bit of extra plat and even some exp.

Aren't Ceremonial Solstice vendor bought till 252 (other than the two spider silk).
The expensive part would be the Gem Studded Chain, but i found 300 on a vendor earlier .

I did exactly what was recommended in the thread. I had 4 crafts in the 240-280 range, two at 200, and tailoring at 78. I knew it would eventually come to this, so I had ~2 backpacks of spider silk stashed plus a few odds and ends. I bought mastery 1, then did a dozen or so odd combines from 1's and 2's components I still had. I then did two sessions of 500 heady kiola combines and converted the silk to swatches and let my wrist rest.

I told a friend I'd help him clear some trash for an epic drop he needed, and when he logged his chantie on I gave him the old "Want to mass'enchant some stuff for me" then gave him 200 vials and 200 pearls, lol.

Started Wu's and worked my way up the pieces to shirts, ended up taking me ~260 combines at 365 wis to get to 155, along with the bulk of an evening and the final run the following morning. I hate heady Kiolas.

I did everything with a 5% geerlok, and decided I won't do the trophy quest until 200. Tailoring was always the mean skill lurking behind the other ones to me, lol, so I had procrastinated skilling it. I am glad I started though, I plan on doing ribbons then whatever I can to 200 for the artisan title, and then seeing what it looks like from there.
