Whatever route you choose, make sure you do the new trophy quest before you do any massive skill-up runs, you won't regret it.

Coranthus entrails to 252 but they maybe hard to farm at 58:-P Start stockpileing Shissar scales for DoN master armors.Only drop in the temple i think and they summon:-P Soltice robes to 252 but they expensive at 250ish pp a pop but almost no farming with em:-)
Also Robes of Virtue tribute at 1k instead of 3k as was reported above.

I seem to be getting a better skill up rate with prepared sporali skins over othmir items, not sure if others have the same experience.

I pretty much farm my own materials:

In an hour at the othmir camp, I tend to get 10-15 furs, which equates to 2 or 3 combines for cloaks. In the same amount of time hunting sporalis, I usually get 1 or 2 skins. So, for both I'm looking at the materials for 1-3 combines per hour of farming.

Othmir skillups for me have been particularly painful, though I know the RNG has a good deal to say about this. I have had several runs where I've used over 200 furs (50 combines) and not gotten a skillup. I have not yet had a sporali run over 20 combines where I have not gotten a skillup.

Again, not sure if this is an enhance skill up rate, or just the RNG playing with me.

An update for those who were having the same problem as I was.
I discovered that there really is no better item to farm for skillups. Theyre all a pita to get so IMO pick your favorite thing to farm and go for it. My best advice would be to set up a buyer in bazaar. As others have said you will develop a following just by keeping the buyer up a lot. I set one up to buy things for skillups and I can focus on other things now while people farm the stuff for me and when Im bored I can still farm for myself.

I will note that it gets costly, Ive probably spent close to 100k just buying the stuff but the time and effort Ive saved are well worth it.

Hope this helps some of you.

Along the Sporali Skin line, where is the best place to farm them? I've been doing the camp in Undershore but think there are more mobs in CC. Is the drop rate the same in both zones?

May stay with undershore because I can also get Entrails from the same camp spot, actually I get mroe entrails than I do skin :-(

put up a buyer (if you got the pp to do it)

                    buy ;
                    holgresh fur
                    velium hound fur
                    velium mastodon fur
                    ice burrower silk
                    feran blood
                    murkglider blood
                    othmir fur

maybe some stuff for pop combines,if you bother doing em (i did)

i got all my pp back(and more) by selling murk robes / legs and feran tunics / legs.
mastodon cloaks were a good seller too. payed for several of my skillups. ice silk caps will always sell to newbies. slow, yes, but they will sell sooner or later.
i didnt bother with farming much myself. instead i farmed pp and used them on my buyer. was way easier and (i think) a lot faster too.

good luck on your way to 300
