I have yet to see the named Terrorantula since the zone revamp.

Has anyone seen it? The one that spawns the 40 or so terrorantulings for terrorantula silks?

I farmed it for a few hours a couple of weeks ago. Seemed to work fine and spawned at a reasonable rate. The additional spawns had a weird warp to them, but once my ranger tracked them down, they were all there to be killed.

Is there a trick to get this mob to spawn. I have read different posts regarding this, but have never actually figured out a positive way to get the mob to spawn.

Would you mind sharing your thoughts on this?

In the old South Ro, my experience was just to mass murder spiders. Once the number of live spiders falls below a set point, a new "batch" of spiders pops. This could be dune tarantulas, desert tarantulas, terrorantulings, or Terrorantula, in that order of rarity. (Though I might have mixed up Dune and Desert.)
