  • Freshmen Tailor Test

I assume that the way these tests are set up that the easiest recipies are at the top of the list and and it progressively gets harder as you move down the list. Well im still stuck on making a leather gorget. When i got the test i realized that I had the materials to make almost everything on the list already spreaded accross the mutlitude of my characters. What i needed to get was a raw-hide gorget to make a leather gorget. At this point i have spent hours in Befallen trying to get a medium sized raw hide gorget. With the lack of low level players these days I havnt been able to find a vendor with a gorget on him. It just dosnt seem right that the easiest combine on the list is causing me the most trouble. What im trying to say is the task of making a raw-hide gorget is more tedious than the developers had in mind and think it should be changed.

I started this last night too. I was killing Orcs in South Ro and while every combination of Raw-Hide dropped several times over - it took over 3 hours before the Gorget version dropped.

    But thats EQ/tradeskilling/tailoring for you.

I managed to get my Raw-Hide Gorget to drop in Ro fairly quickly, by killing the orcs, desert madmen, and the human sized undead there. I think basically anything human sized there can drop raw-hide pieces, might get it to drop a little faster by killing them all. Good Luck

This gorget is turning into almost as much a thorn in my side as the darned Rune of Draught. So far I have spent about the same amount of time camping each. I am very hated in Befallen as I have wiped top to bottom, rinse repeat (x 6 or 7 so far.) I will have to try Ro mobs, thanks for the tip.

I got my raw-hide gorget from the fire goblins in lavastorm. There is a goblins camp just before you get to the MM area. I camped the goblins for about 4 hours and it finally dropped.

Spent about 3 hours in North Ro Tuesday night, then moved to the Orc camp in HighHold right at the entrance to Kith. Dropped in about 30 minutes. Very fast respawn time and the Raw-hide drops seemed plentiful. Hope that helps someone...

I just did south ro, but the north part of oasis (old orc highway area). I didn't bother killing anything but orcs, because they would repop as fast as I could kill them. Took maybe 20 mins.

                Kithicor

I found a couple for sale on the fletching merchant in Kith, near the HH zone line.

I got mine a few days ago, off of the orcs in South Ro. There are a string of them along the west side of the lake that respawn almost immediately - I sent my pet after four in succession, and by the time he'd finished the fourth the first was respawning. Took me about a half hour to get the gorget, after what felt like multiples of every other piece of raw-hide, plus those annoying non-stacking ogre hair mats and sacks of ogre baubles.

I found one on the merchant at the Lavastorm druid ring tonight. Stuck it on my vendor for 500pp just to see if anybody was desperate enough to buy it. It was gone in five minutes. I felt bad.

I too did lots of killing in south ro, north ro and befallen. I finally managed to get my gorget from doing the follow a guard quest in south qeynos. here is the link to the quest.
