Erudite cultural combines

Perhaps someone could point out to me what I'm doing wrong on my cultural combines. I'm a Erudite and made my bag of Master's symbol patterns. I made my Master's Moonsilver swatches. Then when I tried to do the combine for Masters Moonsilver Gloves I tried to combine the

glove pattern,
swatch,
erud needle,
and a large spool of Titanium thread

in my erud sewing kit, and it would not combine. I then tried helm, boots, sleeve patterns with the appropriate number of swatches and none of them would combine. I then tried to add more swatches to see if it would combine with a different number then the recipe called for and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok, I think I have it figured out. I used the wrong parchment which then made the wrong patterns.

You have your armour patterns and are using those to make the armour? The symbol patterns make the augs for the armour.

You make the armour patterns/molds with the really low level quest(not a task) book from the guy who gives you the tradeskill tasks.

If you already knew all that. Just checking!

You know, I had the exact problem that Flehmen talks about. I leveled my chanter from somewhere in the 40s up to 61 because the guy wouldn't give me the higher level tasks.

Later I found out those tasks were for the augments, and there's no point even making the GM augments with tailoring since they use Coarse Silk.

At least I can get a rank of tailoring mastery and salvage once I get around to it now.

I finally got it all worked out and used the right book to make the patterns. I now have my Grandmaster's Moonsilver Armband. With the help of my guild I also have the type 12 and 11 augs in it. For the type 7 I had to make do with one purchased from the DoN merchant. It is a very nice wrist slot and I'm very happy with it.
