    Robe of the spring

Is this made from tailoring? cant find any info for it

It's a VERY low item ID, which suggests a very old item -- probably from the initial base game. Funny that it only appeared a few months ago.

If it's an early item it's a very high end one, that much mana was impossible to find on normal stuff back then, plus the upper end Skin spell effect on it. Not to mention, not aware of too many, if any, robes that could be worn by a Halfling in the old days. But its lack of many stats would seem to make it fit in with the model for earlier equipment.

Would be interesting to find out where it dropped, or if it was quested.

Looks like it's part of a series of items:
        Robe of Decay
        Robe of Asphyxiation

One item missing between there too.

Edit: Seems to be something from the old Veeshan's Peak, judging by the surrounding items.

It also could be a result of a very old quest that was given out by a certain person for certain classes and the druid version was only recently completed. SOE's said before that there are several 100s of quests that have never been found or solved.

            Also:

            Solist's Robe of Abrogation

I have a feeling if one was VP, then they all were.

However... it makes me wonder if this was possibly the original drops from Trakanon for caster chest pieces, but then were pulled for whatever reason and put elsewhere. Would be interesting to find out that's for sure.

Everlore reports the Robe of the Spring as dropped by Silverwing, presumably in the pre-revamp VP.

There was a very similar robe to that one called Robe of Invocation that dropped in VP. It got nerfed around the time Luclin came out because the new raid content in Luclin had low MR and high hp... a big magic based clicky nuke was considered too powerful. It was removed as a drop, but if you ask around some top guilds you can probably find a wizard or 2 who still has theirs.

It has the same clicky nuke with same casting time, just lower stats.

Not sure why this other robe is in... perhaps the early incarnations of VP had some itemization issues and they changed things. We'll probably never know as all those devs are no longer working there.

*edit* I forget which dragon it dropped off... it was the one that they broke in the process of nerfing it... it spawned as a bag for a long time... when they finally got around to fixing it, the rend robe no longer dropped.

Sorry for the lengthy rambling but the rend robe is a point of lore for wizards who have been around for a while.

                  same with robe of asphyxiation

I personally own Robe of Smothering (same right click dot)
taken the last day before VP was revamped.

all these old VP clickys still drop, looks like they were moved to mini named that represent each old VP dragon,

elder ekron = Phara dar's old loot table
                    Kuzan the protector= silverwing
                    Ashenclaw= nexona
                    blood thirsty rancar=hoshkar
                    traveno te startgazer=drussk
                    Milyex vioren=xygoz

they seem to drop 1 old vp loot and 1 new vp loot per kill, got cleric clicky mace, enc robe, and a couple of old melee weapons so far , gonna keep farming to see just how many old vp loots still drop, im parying that with the idea that this is in fact true that Kuzan the protector will drop Robe of the spring, if anyone can confirm which mini does in fact drop it that would save me hours of pointless killing lol, wish there was more info on vp loots post re-vamp, supposdly the new Phara dar drops an Aged robe of the azure sky, but theres no record of this on lucy or alla
