  • corathus skins=Power belts

I have to say I found Corathus entrails one of the most pain-free methods of skilling up to 252.

    One corathus entrails=2 combines

I was seeing 1 skillup every ~7 combines with 360 wisdom.

Yes, it requires a platinum thread for each combine but given the yield is 5 on the small power belt combine and they sell back for 49+ Plat each, I was really only loosing about 170p on two successful combines. Given the total absense of subcombines, and the fantastic skillup rate I got, (and the fact that the two camps I was farming in Corathus Creep were yielding 2-3k per hour of trash & items), plus positive faction hits with the Mining Expedition, and the 8 Mechotablets I collected in that time, I've gotta say this is a highly recomended way to go.

Is there a better place to farm these then outside of the instance doors in CC? Hoped for a higher drop rate.

yes there is a much better place to farm them, however due to super secrt stuff i cant tell you. but there is a MUCH better place to farm them. In this place i got about 300 entrals in under 3 hours. (i died sevral times due to stupidity and well CR != fun)

The super secret stuff is first Bellfast mission where you ride down with an elevator and can kill about 10-20 corathus mobs in 30 seconds. They all have like 100 with one having like 5k hps. You have to run out of the elevator when it's about to reach down and aggro them all so that they don't go die under the elevator.

You need good faction with Bellfast to get this mission and have to say "i will do it" to him. You need 3 people in group with you to get it, but I don't think that's a problem.

With mission request, zoning, elevator movement, killing, looting and zoning out again it takes under 10 minutes to get up to 20 corathus entrails for skilling up.

Maybe there is another "super sekrit place" where to do this, but I know my method works fairly well.

              Thanks Winenose.

Medail - and thus Midas' servant is responsible for his own death. Funny how some people simply must tell others they know a "secret". WTF even post? A therapist is recommended actually.

I tried this tonight, but I can't have the mission , think faction is an issue here, can it be avoided ?

Need to get faction for it or group with someone who has the faction and have them request the mission. You can get faction by killing the creeper reepers down the hill away from Belfast heading to undershore - I think there are 9 static spawns in the entire game though and are often perma camped for one reason or another. Ask any campers if you could leach faction.

You need to be somewhere inside amiable with Bellfast to get the mission. You only get the mission list by saying "i will do it". Faction goes up by killing creep reapers and also doing the Carographer missions for charm augmentation.

From what lvl do you reckon that it is worth to try this out?

Tailoring at 197 atm, but farming entrails all the same. Just not jumping to combine them just yet because of failure rate would cost too much. But when would it be worth it?

Has anyone trying the super sekrit mission seen the named (green) corathus down there and has it dropped anything?

It seemed kind of strange that random named were in the zone (which is only available from tasks), but it didn't drop anything at all. Never tried going back again to see if any of the named drop stuff.

I haven't seen a green named there. There is a chance that a lvl 69 to 71 mob will spawn though (mauler). Doesn't have a *ton* of hp but hits hard. I would get the missions with my Bst and have my Druid zone in. If he was up I dropped the mission. I have had 2 lost expidition earings drop off the feeders so am thinking is a zone wide random - is very rare.

Gam I took expert silk armor to 212 (Iksar) and then did about 50 solstice robes for a few SU. The rest of my points to 250 were entrails. The question is a particular combine is expensive to what? My price baseline was the solstice robes and figured a failure cost me 100pp; success cost me 100pp + whatever I paid for a gem studded chain. If you want to go that route put up a buyer and offer X amount. Am guessing there are many jewelers who would like to recoup some cost from these (used as a progression item I believe and cost ~250pp). In my case I bought about 90 @ 100pp/ea and the guy was glad for it (kept thanking me). In that regard 1 entrail can lead to 2 combines. If you are successful with the second combine you can sell the 5 small belts for 47pp/ea. That brings each of those combines to ~91pp which is fairly low as things go. The other thing that entrails have going for it imo is there are 0 subcombines! That is worth some cash/time to me. Same thing is true with some of the other options ie Wyvern armor where you have to farm and/or buy 3 different things. On the Nameless the hides alone sell for 150pp+/ea.

as a side note, if you do belfast 1, you probably shouldn't expect 20 or so entrails per expo. I was dissapointed when I started doing it this morning and only get about 3-10 entrails per expo.

the drop rate is the exact same as other corathus, just you kill more in a shorter period using the belfast method.

it's still nice, and I'm hoping they don't nerf either the expo or the trivial anytime soon.

also, like a previous poster mentioned, i wouldn't do this unless you can track or FD, or have a friend who can do so. the mangler hits anywhere from 600 - 1100 on a qvic geared necro, and he usually killed me (with conviction only) before i really knew he was on me. not that I could do anything about it with 10 other mobs interrupting my casting.

now i get on the elevator, FD, ride down and start cycling targets..if i don't see him, i start sending my pet..if i do see him, i leave the expo.
