Just a post to tell all those that ask skill up paths, is it easy, etc........
Bump it to scream if ya feel....
I have been working on tailoring for years now. Its more a when your not grping, no one on, etc, thing now. But I have done my months on end of farming, etc to work on it, trust me. But this last month has just been torture when it comes to skill ups. Been going the Holgresh route. The prices of glossy drake hides has gone through roof, and getting grp, well...my rolling skill hasn't been so great. I'm at 263 atm, and just got last skill up after 54 combines. I even asked a ranger to come head shot me to put me out of my misery, hehe. But moral of story, its a pain in the arse all that want to start this wonderful tradeskill. You can make some wonderful gear. It will make you MAD though! Mhahahahahaha......

Why not go the Othmir route?

I had to take a break from tailoring as I was getting too depressed. I have decided now not to stress over it, those skill-ups will come when they come. Its taken more than 5 years to get to 274 (I was such a noobie when I started I thought you had to make your own armour therefore started tailoring as soon as I had a few spider silks) - If it takes another 5 years to get to 300 then so be it. Tailoring is IMO the hardest to skill-up If you havent got a viable masters DoN route - it takes me about 6 hours farming for enough othmir furs for 20 combines - so about 10 hours per skill-up atm. Thanks for the opportunity to winge, that felt good lol. Good luck with tailoring, may your skill-ups be often.

I spent a few hours in CS (over 2 days), collected 6 stacks of othmir furs before chasing a druid/mage team into WW where I killed them and figured, hey, why not farm a few furs/silks here to break the monotony? So I gathered up enough stuff to make 30 othmir cloaks, 2 velium hound cloaks, 2 mastodon cloaks (only thing that sells well), and an ice silk robe - 3 skillups at 425 int (max aa's + personal tribute to raise cap). Only 16 points to go til 2100!
