  • Halfling Tailoring

anyone have a good path for tailoring 1-180ish for a halfling karana druid? ive done the normal wu's, acrylia, etc etc route on other toons, just saw alot of good culteral routes and wondered if they was better/cheaper than wu's.

My main is a halfling and I chose not to do the cultural route becase of the time it would take to forage the misty acorns needed. The brute hides are not difficult to obtain but the HQ brute hides are rare and if you buy them in bazaar be prepared to fork out some major PP. My skill level was higher than the trivials on the DoN cultural (for my level) so I never considered that route. The DoN looks to be a viable path for you. Haversacks and Solstice robes are the main items I am using for skill up to 252. I am at 235 right now and am working on anything I can to get skill ups, so do I not have a single path that I can recommend. Good luck and hope you are rich.

Here are some cheap options - may be some easier DoN paths in mid 100's but I was already past this stage so didn't look into them.

      1-54 GoD Free quest
to 66 Woven Mandrake (or can do 1-66 if no GoD - 2x mandrake roots)
to 95 Greyhopper Hide armor (Greyhopper Hide + pattern)
to 108 Reinforced % (HQ pelt + Steel Bonings + Pattern) Just don't use HQ wolf pelts as will need those for DoN cultural later to 222. HQ Greyhopper also works here.

This is where can now decide to do DoN cultural or Wu's. I was already past this stage when DoN came out so have to look up path easier for you.

      to 162 Bearskin Potion bags
      to 188 Acrylia Studded
      to 222 Expert's Longstrider (DoN)

Just a side not - forget about EVER doing the Master's DoN cultural unless they fix the drop rate. The Greater Reptile hides are almost impossible to get to drop in CT and not worth the effort.

At 95, I would go with Crystalline Silk armour to 132. Head to Crystal Caverns and just AOE the spiders, drop rate is 0-3 per spider.

They have also been reported to drop off any of the Raptors in CT, but I have YET to see any myself or heard directly from anybody who has hunted in there for past 2 months.

If they are only dropping in Veeshan's peak, this needs to be corrected as other DoN paths (especially at the master level) don't require you to have access to a keyed zone.

Guildie of mine hunted in CT for hours upon hours without a single hide dropping. overall though, masters just isnt worth the time. Best advice i can give to any halfling thinking of tailoring is this - Dont start tailoring, if you wish to persist, use velious and luclin to skill up in the 200's range.
