  • PoTorment tailoring recipes - do they work or not?

When the tradeskill UI originally came out, it inadvertently revealed some previously unknown recipes, such as Spiked Collar of Agony, which had as a subcombine Blood Treated Kaniz Hide. EQTC lists these recipes. Looking through the various item collection sites (Lucy, Magelo, EQItems), however, I don't see any evidence that either of these items was ever really made in-game, despite submissions to the contrary to EQTC.

Question 1: Can anyone verify that these recipes work in-game? I don't want to know that the tradeskill UI says it's possible, but do want to know that you succeeded or failed at crafting the recipe as listed. If so, please provide the current trivial, current ingredient list, and current yield for each. If you got a DNC, please report that too.

Question 2: If you have one of these items in your possession, would you please run one of the major item collection sites' item collectors in the background so that we can see the current stats?

Question 3: Did anyone ever discover a tradeskill use for the Boruk Hide, also out of PoTorment?

Thanks in advance. I've been curious about these for a while.

I doubt they've ever been made.

There are a bunch of recipes that appear in container lists but the ingredients never drop.

Actually, I remember the devs mentioning in a patch message that they'd implemented some of the missing drops or recipes to make these items. If anyone still has supplies from PoTorment, it may be worth experimenting.

This is actually on my R&D to do list. I am currently working on a poison audit for my site, and then I will be free to work on some of my other projects (torment armor being one of them).

        The mystery shall be solved!
