Getting tired of farming drops, etc.... Is there any path up from here that uses items readily purchased I may have missed?

There are no store bought or easy path for Tailor. As well as looking at Wyverns, Solstice Robes etc, do look at Tailored robes (if you can do them) and DoN expert symbols.

Loy ribbons are popular if you can forage/buy the compoents.Plat ribbons are pricy but not as bad as soltice robes.:-)

Soltice Robes (which use the gem studded chains) cap at 252 now, but still a good intermediate path post 200. Unless I've missed something, only Velious combines that go beyond 252 are Othmir, Holgresh, Velium Hound and Mastodon. There has been a run up in prices even on even triv 252 Velius ingrediants. Wyvern hides on Fennin spiked to 300pp, but have since seemed to stabilize at 200-250pp each, but this may be the result of decreased drop rates. On the plus side, bricks of velium and fished components still seem to drop at historical rates.
