    I said that to a lot of people at Fan Faire. I ALSO said to them that this would be done in conjunction with the complete revamp of trivials for the specific tradeskill in quests AND that we'd announce it, put it on Test and explain the change a few dozen times to make sure that everyone understood what was happening.

    If you're going to use what I said to stir people up, the least you could do is tell the whole story.

    We were telling folks at Fan Faire that we wanted to make these changes as soon as we can because we fully understand that there are some gaps that need filling (and some really stupid recipes that need to be adjusted). We were not giving dates or guesses simply because we just don't know when we'll be able to do it. Both Maddoc and I have been overwhelmed with work on the live event that hopefully some of you will enjoy and just haven't been able to get to it.

    Again, you'll know when it's coming long before we patch it in and it will include far more than just the nerf of a few recipes. We'll be making large adjustments to the trivials of propably most recipes.

    For now we've added min skill-up chances to the recipes that we are pretty sure won't be changing much (the new cultural and the aug recipes) that should help make them much better for gaining skill ups.

    Sorry if I sound a bit pissy, it's because I am. I've been talking about this game for almost five years and it still cheeses me off when people misquote me, especially on a topic that is obvioiusly touchy to some folks.

      I can't speak for others, I was referring to your post on the main board here which is stickied.

      Now that post was dated 3-18. Two patches ago. Perhaps you can understand our paranoia and expectation that our recipes were going to get the nerf this patch?

          Good point. I can't alleviate any paranoia, but I'll restate that we will most certainly let you know when changes are coming and what they are.

              I apologized if I misquoted you. Everything you said in this thread agrees with what I took away from you in the panel and face to face afterwards.

              I also get frustrated when I have people giving me grief about an off the cuff comment on the upcoming trivial changes that evidently were also posted by you on 3/18/2005.

              It is also rather frustrating for me that 5 words from this thread's original post have dominated the discussion in this thread. I wish I had not put those five words in this thread and I am glad you posted on this thread. I also expect several people to continue to deny the possibility that sickles will be changed in any future threads.

                Thanks, Absor, for clarifying matters.

                Hopefully everyone will settle down a bit now and get back to other types of discussion so we don't have to shut down this thread.
