  • Bag Tokens

Hello all, i tryed to do a search but couldnt find what i was looking for.
I noticed that their is talk of turning in bag tokens in the baz for backpacks and other containers. Could someone explane what these tokens are about please. Thanks.

Since you cannot put a bag in your traders satchel and sell it in the bazaar, SoE allows you to give some types of containers to an NPC in the bazaar (female barbarian, don't recall her name). She will give you a token that can then be sold via your trader window. Someone can buy the token from you, return it to that same NPC and she will give them the bag/container that corrisponds to that token.

The Barbarian Bag Babe is Caerlyna

When you come into the center hub, you're facing a fat central pillar with four NPC's standing around it. She's the female barbarian.

      http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=13975

You can hand her most any bag with special properties and she'll "hold" it for you, and give you a token. Anyone returning a token to her will get the bag back.

The things she'll "tokenize" include all weight reducing bags and all tradeskill containers, with some exceptions. She won't take summoned or TEMPORARY items, she won't take special-use quest containers, and she won't take ice cream churns (yet).

The primary purpose of these tokens is to allow valuable containers to be sold in bazaar. Unfortunately that's very limited because the buyer can't tell what they're getting. That's changing in the next patch, probably.

It's also useful for storing any containers you don't need for a while, but you do have to return to her to restore the bag to full size. I made some bags to skill up tailoring, standing next to her and getting tokens immediately. This allowed me to make a dozen bags at a run without destroying any.

I turned mine in for tribute as tokens because they were the same value either way. Do the tokens always have the same tribute value as the original bag?
I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.
