I have got a ton of these sitting in my vault, and dont plan on working on any more tradeskills, since i have no time to play eq much these days...whats the going rate for these on some servers? On Quellious here. Dont want to rip people off, was thinking 200pp for a cobalt, and 125pp for a wyvern...at least thats what i would pay.

I see Buyers on Quellious offerring 75pp for Arctic Wyvern Hides, and that's about as much as I'd be willing to pay. You can't get to 300 Tailoring with them anymore since the Arctic Wyvern Hide recipes' trivial was lowered to 252. Same goes for Cobalt Drake hides, IMO.
But I have to ask...saw your trader up this morning...what the heck is up with putting Coldain Velium Temper up at 50pp per? It's vendor sold at just under 6pp...granted it's in Thurgardin, but really....50pp? Hoping to catch a bunch of rich & lazy tradeskillers who can't be bothered to go buy it in Thugardin? LOL

You can sell artic wyvern for 200-300pp... not necessarily a fair price, but they don't take long to sell even at that price on the servers I have explored. Something close to 100pp or just under is probably more than fair, however I wouldn't base things on buyers, since they often have best-case prices or dream prices. Sure people sell to them for convenience or immediate cash, but most items are worth a little over what a buyer is offering.

5pp is below cost, and you are entitled to some mark up, I was just teasing ya...although unless someone is exceptionally rich and exceptionally lazy, I doubt they'll pay 50pp

I'd set the price high, 200-300 range. Given you have BULK you can demand a higher price and probably get it. Any skiller like myself will pay a higher amount if I am getting a large amount of supplies = more chances to raise the skill *quickly*. If the skiller is not looking for speed, they will probably not buy them anyway and prefer to farm it themselves.
Given the change of the solstice robe trivial, solstice robes are now an expensive skill up path to 250 - plus the amount of subcombines necessary / haiving a Chain maker / etc. make this path less than desireable.
You can't discount the time saving element of selling bulk supplies vs. someone farming the same amount. Given the prices of the other common paths, 200-300 per is reasonable imho.
You will find a buyer, probably within a day or two for that price.Sunburnt Dmize - 80 Druid - D-Ro

Well i dont want to put em up at 200-300 because that would piss me off if i was looking to buy them. I wouldnt pay more than 125pp per myself, so thats gonna be my price, considering i have about 120 hides, and like 40 drake oil and 40 cod oils too, i have pretty much everything there to make skill up attempts, but no velium pieces.
I got my tailoring to 161, but that was over 2 years ago. Tradeskilling is no longer going to be viable to me, so i will have to live with my titles of apprentice baker, tailor, smith, fisherman, researcher, fletcher, potter, and brewer =P
just wish i could get home to change the prices on the tempers, dont want to sell em to a vendor, but dont want them in the bank anymore =P dont care if i loose a few plat i spent 2 years ago lol
But i like to sit around with my name: Apprentice Fisherman Auuar Rey`Han of Quellious. lol nice and long =P

I never get why people think just because they're selling more they deserve more per unit and I never buy from these guys. I'm curious if this practice is actually profitable. Sure if you've so much of a stuff that you're effectively the world's only supply on something you can charge more but that's really not the same thing. If it's something people sell commonly, I find it much easier just to buy up all the guys selling small quantities instead. It's not like you spend that much more time in Bazaar.

you're in teh same boat as me. i'm always ahving a ahrd time trying to price things when i sell them. i've had numerous people telling me i'm charging too little and that i'm undercutting their market. personally i don't want to sell anything i wouldn't buy at the same price. i know typically when i make a low grade product i tend to charge double the cost of materials then round up to the next 5 pp.....i.e if it costs 102.459pp then i would charge 210p..........fletchers really hate me <g>

I just heard froma friend online that i sold out of the arctic wyvern hides, at 125pp a pop, 78 of them sold should net me 9750pp. That isnt too bad. I would hate to rip off anyone trying to tradeskill.
I used to be in the same boat as you guys, now all i have to do is farm some more and under-cut the competition
all yall on Quellious, lemme know what you need and how much you wanna pay...i might be able to farm something for ya

Most times when you sell a 200pp skill up item in bulk on your bazaar mule for 125pp they get resold at 200 by the person that bought them from you. Watch who buys it and watch how many are for sale in bazaar. Soon after you sell them, you will see the quantity for sale magically increase the amount you just sold.Liwsa 75 Druid Prexus - Retired

ACK! Sarnath why are you not on Drinal!!
I would certainly buy all you had at 125pp... my tailoring is so slow as is, I am starting to think of paying big bucks... can't quite justify 200pp+ per combine (not until Salvage 3 at least) but I could handle 125pp+some farmed velium...
// Between Robes of Neglect/Robes of Breath/Robes of Astral it is pretty cheap (though slow) to get to 232... but I am going to need something to push me over to 250ish before I start farming othmir/holgresh permanently!Have Phro, Will Travel.

lol. I am not really in it for the cash. the person who bought all the hides will prolly re-sell them higher though, that just means that the hides i had for the last 2 years collecting dust will go to someone's good. But since i can kill those wyverns like a knife through butter, i might as well farm the heck outta them..
ran to CS the other day to make food, and the place was empty. easy kills. we'll see what i can sell when i get home. see you over at necrotalk, lol

Actually, I bought them. Had just skilled up to 243 and run out of hides, and since my poor little 44th level druid takes ages to get drops of them, and it takes and age to farm velium anyway, I thought they'd help. I also bought your cod oil and drake oil when it was at 15pp each. The earlier price was too high.Originally posted by Sarnath Creedlol. They won't be sold on. If I have any left over after getting to 252, the rest will be kept for my cleric.
