Patch Tomorow... Do I skill up tonight? 4-19-05

Im at about 188 on my tailoring.

I have the stuff to try about 400 combines for solstic robe.
I know the skill up system is foobar... but that is for lower end skill ups right?

I cannot help but wonder...the way the skill system is... should I try to skill up TONIGHT and take advantage of something or wait until after patch?

Ideas?

good question.. I just did 100 combines of Master DoN amor at 279 raw skill doing a trivial of 292 arms... pretty much success on all combines but no skill ups.. wish i waited.. maybe I would have got a few skill ups but prob not

Found a guy selling a bunch fo Gem Studs on my server for 100pp each.... cheapet then I could make em so I took em all LOL

There have been reports in my guild of people getting rapid skillups on skills 150-200. Things like swimming, which we all do every time we hit the water, people were getting their last skillups from 196-200 in a matter of seconds after dipping in Plane of Water. Weird stuff.

I'd skill up to 200 today, if I were in your shoes. I'm holding off on any skillups myself, but all my tradeskills are above 220.

Totally unscientific or even all that accurate here, but, for me, getting spell casting skillups (abjuration, divination, etc.,) from the 180 - 250 range has been very easy, but the tradeskills that I have done it's been the opposite where I went from 267 to 272 in 200 combines of Kaladim Constitutionals. But, after reading some of the other experiences here, I'm not complaining.

I'm wondering, though, how the non-tradeskill skillup rate got so different from the tradeskill skillup rate? Or am I imagining things?

Skill up on weapon skills, etc. ,was messed up and just fixed in the most recent patch. Grats on all who got 1hb and swimming and so on up while it was easy to do. But back to normal now.

Bleh wish i knew was a bug lol. I was wondering why 2hb was going up so much faster the other day with my ranger. Would have kept it equiped more had I known.

If anything my avg combine/skillup ratio was worse for fletching last night, and about the same for tailoring.

HOWEVER...

My Abjuration was stuck for months at 225, and was up to 229(over the course of 1 entire year, i got 4 skillups, casting annuls in mpg, casting talismans in raids for junk buffs, etc...

Last night... while exping where mobs needed to be annuled, I went from 229-234 in just 9 annuls..

Seemed ultra weird to have that good of a skillup rate... Now if I can only get that to happen for my tailoring/fletching.
