  • Snake Whip Cracker turned unstackable after patch of Apr 12

Snake Whip Cracker (Hynid Mane + Hynid Mane) turned unstackable.

That is tolerable if not for the fact that my stack of 20 Snake Whip Crackers (i.e. from 40 Hynid Manes) in bank turned into 1 single Snake Whip Cracker!

I hope they realize they can't change something from stackable to unstackable just like that. The reprecussions are almost as bad as changing an unlore item into a lore item.

Stuck at work until late, can anyone check to see if Whip Crackers and Hynid Manes were similarly affected? My future tailoring supplies may have just taken a rather nasty hit...

I'm sure they will realize, but just not care. You can expect another lame responce like "We realize this may cause a hardship now, but is part of on going changes that you are sure to like."

Oh you have got to be kidding me...

I'll have to check on my 4 stacks of whipcrackers when I get home.

Please /bug this in game if you haven't already, they DO read the /bugs and I’m sure it will be fixed. Once fixed I imagine you might have to /petition for reimbursement of the lost stacks, but lets wait and see on that.

              They stack on Test.

Did anyone find them not stacking when they checked?

The Snake Whip Cracker in my bank (which used to be a stack of 20) was made before the patch of Apr 12 and is not stacking now. I did not check making a new one after patch to see if newly made ones stack.

I also saw non-stackable Snake Whip Crackers sold to vendors.

This is live server. Item name is Snake Whip Cracker. Please be aware that there is another item called Whip Cracker. I do not know if Whip Cracker is stacking or not.

I tracked it down. Apparently the Snake Whip Cracker was an alcoholic beverage since I created it (heh). Nobody noticed until recently, so we changed it to NOT be a tasty mug of booze.

Unfortunately that change also made it not stack.

It's fixed on Test and will go Live with the next update. I'll zap an email to Customer Service telling them what happened.

So will the single non-stackable one be changed back to a stack after patch? Or will it remain a single stackable after patch? Do we have to petition in game to ask for the single to be changed back to a stack?

I /petitioned after April 20 patch, stating very clearly Snake Whip Craker turned unstackable on April 12 but made stackable again on April 20 and asked for my stack back. GM reply on April 21 was he has checked the item and that it is not stackable so cannot give me my stack back. >sigh<

FWIW, snake whip cracker was the only item affected by this. The (similarly named) whip cracker continues to be stackable.

I'm sure most of you already know this.. just clarifying.

Well, I wrote a long and detailed petition asking to have my three stacks of crackers reimbursed. I'll keep the forum posted. In the meantime, has anyone had any success or failures (e.g., Elfdruidess' post)?

Woohoo! After submitting a very detailed petition, a very nice GM Rachiena (on Luclin, formerly Veseshan), reimbursed me with... um... 3 individual snake whip crackers for the 3 stacks I had (they were placed in different inventory slots). I am sure it's merely a summoning mistake, as it was done while I didn't even have that character logged on. I have to say, I am happy with the speed (less than 12 hrs) and the result, even if it's only half-way there. I'm happy because it shows a willingness on their part to resolve matters quickly. Now, we'll see how it goes from here. =)
