How much would YOU pay for a Glossy Drake Hide?

Had to post on this one. Was looking through the bazaar last night on CT and found someone selling a Glossy Drake Hide for 250k. On speaking with the person I found that they didn't expect to get that much, but did believe they could get at least 100k for it. Does anyone here feel that's anywhere close to a valid price? I've been known to be pretty cheap in my time, but tossing away 100k on a combine that you have a decent chance of failing to make a piece of armor that is not what I would call world-shattering seems kinda foolish.

Insane prices for OoW augs are making people crazy across the board. 100k for a hide? NUTS!!

I've never even had 100Kpp much less 250Kpp. I've never hunted the Glossy Drake Hide, so I don't know how rare it is. If it's a rare drop, then I might spend 5Kpp. I've had my buyer up offering 40pp for them, but I didn't know what to offer. This morning on rodcet, someone wanted 25Kpp and I was sad.

I started offering 10k per, then after a few weeks when I had to keep dropping prices on armor and augs lower and lower until I couldn't barely sell the pieces for 10k to 30k (augs barely scrape 10k and that takes a while, armor I have made 2 pieces of and still haven't sold either at 10k for 1 swatch/hide pieces) each I dropped my offer to 5k per. I have seen some in bazaar for as high as 15k and as low as 2k. Found a coarse spider silk for 1p.

Rather arbitrarily, I've decided to offer 5K each for Glossy Drake Hides and Metallic Drake scales. I'm mostly making the armor to gear up guildies now, so I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible. If I were making the armor for resale, I'd have no problems offering 25K each, maybe even a bit more. For comparison, I sell finished OOW augs for 80K (flow stone with second-level effect) to about 400K (Tourmaline with third-tier effect) and I can't keep up with demand.

on TP at least, buyers are offering 15k for metallic drake scales. As the only person wanting glossy drake hides, I put up a buyer offering 3k per... got 2 the other night..

They're the only 2 I've ever seen though.

I paid 5k for 2 or 3 of them. I have found a few vendor diving so I stopped buying them in bazaar. Barter buyers offer 10k for them.

Currently at 26k on buyer I've yet to buy a single Hide or Scale in almost a week. I'm about to up it to 35k methinks =\

Do the Metallic Drake Scales drop in the Lavaspinners missions as well? Or only Stillmoon and Thundercrest Isle missions? Why on earth do they only drop in missions?

Omg Tnexus Hold off on the 35k...I am at 30k for metallic and trying to make mojogoth a pair of legs.

Also still got my wife to equip in some of the chian versions

I've seen one metallic drake scale in a month (bought for almost 50k), and 4 hides in a month. Ironically all were on the same day and spent 150k there. I have 5 Coarse Swatches though! Right now I'll pay whatever people are asking.
