  • Skill path w/o cultural?

I'm a 70 barb shammy with just 210 in Tailoring. I'd like some skill up advice please. I have no cultural items with trivials less than 335, so that is out. I obviously cannot forage either. Any ideas? I'd really like to get to at least 250 skill level, and plat is unimportant. Thanks...

Do Wyverns or Solstice to 252, then do Othmir Furs to 295. After that you're pretty much going to entirely do PoP stuff, Ice Silk Caps, and Holgresh and Velium Hound Fur Cloaks.

I think you should still be able to do DoN cultural. Maybe Barbarian Shaman stuff hasn't been researched yet. However, you should be able to still make "Driftwalker" items (Barby Beastlord stuff). At your stage, you would have to start working on "Master's" items. This calls for you to make 1-3 "Master's Driftwalker Swatch" per combine which requires one farmed component per swatch. A shimmering Ukun Hide in your case.

I agree with Egg. The new DON cultural seems like it should be included for skilling up tradeskills for anyone. You're already level 70 and 210 skill, so the benefit will be less obvious - since you'll be farming lots of greens at the Master's level. But, it looks like you can take advantage of some xp while completing the Grandmasters's book and gathering components. The ability to skill tradeskills while earning xp strikes me as a nice combination for those who start from the beginning.
