I want to get tailoring up because i want the GM cultural legs Badly and need a 220 Skill to not fail my Tailoring combine for the Phalectry Quest OMG. You could do robes or velious tailoring to 252. However, at that point in time, things are pretty much stuck. There are not a lot of really good alternatives yet to go higher. Hopefully, things will get clarified in the patch on the 16th.

Don't do Solstice robes. I was at 218 skill a few days ago and forgot about the trivial change. I ended up successfully making 12 robes in a row. I was so *$&%ed off that I went and did 10 stacks of velious (I did go from 218 to 234 on just 10 stacks and a stack of shissar scales so i'm happy)

If you are a Tunare Wood elf, do the new DoN cultural tailoring. Cat pelts are pretty easy to get and can get you to 222.

Shissar Scales are relatively easy to pharm, but can get annoying. Average drop rate seems to be about 1 in 6, though some can drop 2 at once. (This usually happens about 1 per stack). Right now I'm stuck needing 3 scales per combine as I'm at 290 skill.

My question is, what does the Acrylia quest armors trivial at?

Im currently 250 tailoring,i wanted to know if it was worth doing the AC quest.

Have you looked into doing your Blue Diamond cultural? The ingredients are quite easy to get...and from a recent run of 44 cultural attempts (as an Erudite), I got 7 skillups. Their trivials are still 335. The werewolves in PoN are easy kills (and quite farmable for a druid...depending on level) and drop all 3 types of diamonds. Oak Bark is not difficult to get either...especially since the addition of the forage AA. And Excellent Sabertooth Tiger Hides are not so rare either. And if you can't find a buyer for the gear, I got 2174 Tribute for the Rigid Steelsilk Boots that I made.

*NOTE* - Not only did I have a high skillup rate on the tries (20 bracers yielded 0 skillups, 24 boots yielded 7...6 in 17 tries, 1 in a later 7 tries), but the success rate in making the items was high. I made 13 boots and 8 bracers...starting at a 230 skill!

I'm a Wood Elf too and as of this post, I'm at 187 Tailoring. I have almost 400 Arctic Wyvern Hides saved up and was planning on doing Velious armor to 252, but with the DoN cultural out, I'm probably going to do DoN cultural for the majority of my remaining 113 skill up points. Probably a lot faster than farming enough velium and cod for 400 combines. Depending on which pieces you are working on at the time, you only have to farm 1-3 items per attempt (and occasionally get another Book for patterns). You can do cultural all the way up to 300 skill this way.

You don't even need to get the "Experts" or "Masters" books. Just the basic book for the patterns. The Expert/Master's books are for your auguments to your gear, but you don't need them for skill up combines. I also plan on doing smithing to 300 as well with cultural. I think this is a very good way to get any races Tailoring/Smithing to 300, though I haven't looked at the requirements for every race.

Please share your secret spot for these with me. Two + hours of farming in OT and one hour in LOIO netted me exactly 0 (zero) Excellent Sab hides. Where, pray tell, do they grow.
