Grandmasters Quest

Hey guys. Going to be posting my status on the GM quest in Thundercrest Isles.

Required for the first 2 stages of the quest;

120 Isles drake kills
80 Fractured drake claw loots

The kills can be made in the normal Thundercrest, but the 80 claw loots have to be done in a DoN mission. Both tier 1 DoN TC missions are a pain in the rear. What I'm going to be doing since it only requires 3 peeps to start a mission, is just kill the 2 drakes at the entrance to the zone. Did this with an xp group last night. In 3 hours I netted 14 kills and 4 claw loots. Oh and 9% raw xp in lv 66.

This sounds like the Halfling cultural quest. If so, you just need to kill 120 of (almost) any Stillmoon creature. You'll finish that up in maybe 4-5 full missions there. To get the fractured drake claws, take the "grounding the drakes" mission in Lavaspinners. You'll get maybe 25-30 fractured drake claws per mission and they count towards your total (even though you're not in Stillmoon).

Even though this task sounds daunting at first -- I was ready to go through the roof when I first started trying to do it -- it's very doable if you know where to look for the pieces.

You need em in Thundercrest unfortunately. I just completed mine tonight. Took me about 7 missions I think to finish the GM Wood Elf Book. Got great exp while doing it.

after yesteday's patch the zone for both killing derakes and looting claws reads "ALL". I hope this is an indication that you can loot drake claws from any instanced zone.
