half elf tailoring update if your stuck pls read

Ok I had a funny ideal after absor made a comment about being tired on another post and tried high qual/med qual cat pelts for the half elf tailoring for new don armor and it worked. So for now at least the recipe is not high qual/med qual wolf pelts but cat pelts. Tried shissar sclaes for the next step and it didnt work and i havent been able to get any of the racnar hides to see if they work so wee'll see. Ill keep ya'll posted as things develop

Thank you for the info, lucky for me someone was selling HQ cat pelts cheap last night so I picked them up because, well, I can't pass up a sale Quick question though, where have you found the rilsteel spools? Maybe I'm just blind, I checked every tailoring related vendor I could find in Qeynos, Freeport and Surefall and found nothing. Double checked the smithing guy just in case but not there either. Thanks

Rilsteel thread

The only merchant I have found is Nerissa Clothspinner in North Qeynos. She is a quest NPC, and wanders to the Qeynos hill zone line and boozes it up in the tavern. Naturally, she only sells when she is at her spawn, which is right outside the Jewel box. There should be 2 merchants there, if there is only 1 she is out wandering (#9 on EQatlas). I did a /bug and a /feedback, but I expect nothing, and so my expectiation will be met by SOE. She also sells the quill, velium , ink, used to make the symbol patterns. She sells the HQ steel thread also.

Ahh, thank you...I had tried her, but she must have been wandering at the time as she wouldn't sell anything. Guess I'll have to stalk her and then stock up on supplies.

Another good place is go to kelethin, take the newbie lift hit find and look for tailoring merchants. I dont know her name but shes the first tailoring merchant on my find list. I like her becuas she doesnt move, lol.

Looks like I got the wrong pelt in the book. I've updated it and it should change with the next patch. The other items listed (Rancar Hides and Glossy Drake Hides) should be correct.

Ya known Absor I wouldnt be terribly upset if ya found out ya made a mistake on the racnar hides and changed them to shissar scales( hint, hint).
