The other day while my halfling was vendor mining, he found a Drachnid Silk Swatch and he said, "No way, mate! Drachnid silk is useless!"

But I checked EQ Traders Corner and found a listing and for it and my halfling was able to combine two Drachnid Silks into a swatch himself (but he couldn't make a Drachnid Silk Thread from Drachling Silk).

With the forces of evil taking over the city of Firiona Vie focusing attention on this area of Norrath, I predict recipes using Drachnid Silk will be uncovered.

It's only a prediction. I'm NOT leaking any beta information. Like I said, I noticed that Drachnid Silk Swatchs exist. When I saw people discussing the possibility of new armor recipes for Fiery Ore on the smithing forum, I just made a guess about drachnid silk.

Unfortuantely, the possible new Fiery Ore recipes was a false alarm. What was found was the recipe book for Ornate Chain. The ore it referred to was the HQ ore found in SolA, but the reader mistook that it meant the Fiery Ore.

Bummer.
