  • Ding 250 and skillup chart

Ever since I first recieved my stitching pack as a level 1 beastlord back in December 2001, I swore that I would make myself master of the tailoring arts. Now...four years later...I finally did it. Ding 250. For those interested, here are my 200-250 skillup rates:

Thanks for the skill up info Kiv.

What was your WIS / INT at for these combines?

    Cheers,

      Whoa

Thats a lot of combines . I went to CS to kill arctic wyverns and after clearing them all in a short period I had absolutely no drops on pelts. None at all. I can't see farming there for 900 combines at all since it would take me forever and eternity to get to 250 from 192. If anything I feel rather daunted. Friends of mine want me to come to WoW maybe I should check recipes for that instead since it seems to be a more customer/player friendly game. More and more I think EQ is just to line shareholders pockets with money at the expense of ruining peoples lives. Were you doing combines within 20 points of skill level? Were these mostly velious combines? I'd like to get back to raiding . Wishing I hadn't bought 1146 tufts of dire wolf for for 25 plat apiece now.

Perhaps you should try posting your comments in the "Primal Scream" thread Lollianders as your comments server no purpose to further this thread.

Tailoring is not for the faint of heart, if you want your Tailoring trophy handed to you perhaps you should make the jump to WoW... maybe you will find it easier there...

I have spent a month and a half collecting components and almost have 32 stack tries. The farming is long and boring. I do it because I wish to put in the effort to reap the rewards. If EQ handed us all of the toys up front without any work on our part we all would be done with EQ after 2 month.

Congrats! It's a long road to 250, and I'm even more impressed that you kept records!

Yea, verily... my congratulations as well!

I'd have killed for some of those rates when I did my tailoring. LOL I think I went over 200 combines on one of those points. I thought I'd never make it...

Well, my wisdom maximum fluctated since my tailoring spanned several expansions. Before PoP it was maxed at 255, afterwards maxed at 305, after OOW maxed at 330. Most of the combines I did below 200 were fairly close to skill level, but after 200 it was all 300+ trivial stuff.

From 0 to 21 or so I did shade silk bandages while hunting in Shadeweaver Thicket. I did backpacks and containers with the rockhopper hides I found in shadeweaver until the 60s, and found out about greyhopper to 88. From there it was Wu's to 158 then studded/reinforced acrylia with some solstice robes to 200 or so. After that it was almost exclusively velious with a couple of PoP recipies thrown in.

Thank you for the response Kiv .

I currently have 33 stack tries waiting on my mule. I am working on Salvage 2 before I try any combines. My WIS will be maxed to 325 when I do these combines... so hopefully I will have close the the same success that you have outlined in your guide... although the RNG may have something to say about that.

Gratz on your GM and thanks for the info.

                Cheers,
