Hello there, I was wondering what the cheapest way to get to 250+ would be? Right now I am at 121, I have recipies for Wu's collar, wristband, mantle, sleeves, and shirt. Then Im probably going to make soft fur padding to 176. Now Im lost on what I can do to to get a higher skill lvl that would be the cheapest. I have a 65 Druid, so if I can solo anything I need for further recipies that would be awsome.

Yeah use serach.
I will recommend one thing. Unless you already have a few hundred hound furs, soft leather padding is a bad thing to make (unless you're on FV server). It's not droppable, and the furs are worth far more in the bazaar for more attempts at skillups in other means. If you already have the furs, I'd sell them anyway. Good money for other supplies.

Definitely search the forums, you'll find tons of good info. Since you have a druid, forage dye components for teh LoY Int-caster robes. If you are doing tailoring with the druid, unless its human you won't be able to make the robes, but if you are doing tailoring with any int-caster class (except frogloks) check out the robes. Some of teh ribbons get expensive, but with a 65 druid you can kite and solo stuff for plat and sellable items and make some plat to fund your tailoring )
Also if your druid worships Tunare you can imbue your own emeralds....but the ceremonial solstice robes have that stupid gem studded collar, so they arent exactly cheap if you succeed a lot. )Master Artisan Maevenniia the Springy Sprocket Stockpiler of the really long name

This IS tailoring you're talking about. The cheapest you're going to get is if you farm everything you need for yourself. This includes silks, hopper hides etc. The cheapest doesn't necessarily mean easiest. You're absolutely not going to get tailoring easy, it just won't happen. I did most my farming the bazaar for the level you're at up through 187. Tailoring costed me around 250k to GM from the ground up. Solstice robes took me from 188-250 and costed 170k. If you go this route, DO NOT get Tailoring Mastery AAs first. The idea is to fail. Failures cost you a lot less.
I can't stress it enough. I looked EVERYWHERE for a cheap, easy way to tailor. It doesn't exist. If you REALLY want 250, you're going to spend a lot of cash or expect to invest thousands of hours.Tenielle

Okay, Cheap is the only requirement I am addressing, not speed, not convienance, only cheap.
You can do the treated silk fibres for the blessed fishing rods until 150 and then do the Phase spider silks until 222 and from there do the Leatherfoot haversacks to 250 (selling the bags to get back your costs). This assumes you are a Halfling otherwise look at doing the otters.

Cheapest way to GM Tailoring without a doubt has to include getting a pair of Shadow Shears from Acheva. If you do... you can do studded hoppers to 189, then solstice robes (or something else doesn't matter) to get the next couple of points, and at (I think) 192 you can switch over and do ethereal silk until 212. The fun thing I remember about doing this is you can combine the ethereal silk swatches into cure ethereal energy and still get points! I have no idea exactly how much money the shears saves you by being able to get the skill poinst this but its considerable. After this I accumulated stacks and stacks of velium studs while running a few alts through Cobalt Scar killing Wyverns, then making masks.Baltazor Goldsinger

I went the ribbon route to 188, then started in on making tigerraptor masks. No one is ever killin them anymore, so ya normally have entire zone to self. I farmed vel in ToFS(golems), another empty zone normally. And as a forager, I would just sit at ZI in WW and forage drake eggs for days. But yet i spent a good 300k getting 250 skill, all said and done. Sometimes ya just dont feel like farming that day and blow 10k in bazaar just to do combines. It also took me like 9 months to get 250 also, so nothing is fast. Just remember to have fun in what ever path ya take, that coming from a TS junkie, hehe.Renvarin Treeblood
