Help a rogue, save your fleeting quivers.

Ok, I tailor, when I can get my hands on the skins I like to make fleeting quivers to sell. As we all know these aren't the most common of skins under normal circumstances. But... now with the new epic quests it's worse. Turns out the rogues need these to make a no drop armor that's turned in to advance their epic quest. Result? Pissed off rogues and highly over hunted highland lions. Now I'm not happy about it since it means way more competition and suddenly the skins, when they can be found, are at 4-5 times the price they used to be and they weren't cheap before. The rogues aren't happy about it since they can't track and these are already sought after skins. Some are suggesting the HQ lion be made no drop, and as a tailor who hunts them with one char and tailors with another I think that's a horrible idea that would not help the rogues and just make for even more exclusitivity (tracking tailors suddenly gaining an even greater advantage and the skins are still as wanted by both sides).

So, I'm using /feedback and asking they use some other skin. This was a poor choice of pelt to add to such a quest. Perhaps the medium quality lion skin would have been better as those are not to our knowledge used for anything, and are not as rare as the frigging HQ skins. What are your thoughts on this? I haven't hunted the skins for a while since I had a nice stock of quivers, but I really do think it's a problem if they're made requirement for the new epic considering how rare these things are to begin with. Or at least were when I did my hunting.

If I understand you correctly, Rogues need the HQ Lion skin as part of their epic 1.5/2.0 quest (not a Fleeting Quiver)....

Why couldn't they use one of those useless hides from PoP, like the nightmare hide I keep seeing on vendors, or the Kaniz or Boruz hides....or tufts of War Boar fur, or something?

Exactly. The rogue epic requires them to make no drop armor that is combined in a box and then handed in to one of the guildmasters. The recipe that needs the HQ Lion skin is the Bracer of Concealed Blades - of which they need to make two. The recipe itself is: High Quality Lion Skin + Fine Steel Dagger (Or Shiv) + Wristband Pattern. And remember, they'll need to make two of them. Just getting 1 HQ lion skin was enough to drive me barmy at times, but if I had to get at least 2 and not having track to find them that would really push me over the edge.

The other armor pieces they need to make take things like HQ hynid skin, HQ bear skin, and HQ rockhopper. Due to how bad the GoD bags are the Hynid skin is not nearly as frustrating, and HQ bear and rockhopper are pretty easy to find. They also need High quality tundra kodiak pelts, which are only used in one other quest. And high quality walrus hide, again only used in one other quest. There's a big difference between as a pure quest used drop will not make for as great a demand for a skins as the best quiver we can tailor would. It looks like they just put a bunch of HQ pelts as parts of these recipes without really thinking the HQ Lion skin part through (I'd bet when creating it they just picked a HQ skin from that geographical location so it would fit in the HQ lineup of skins needed) as it's the only skin that has an extremely high rarity/value before this.

I have a friend who started a ranger alt and really wanted a fleeting quiver. Having another friend who's a GM tailor, I popped my teeny druid over to NK a few times trying to get a skin...I got one, but wanted a 2nd in case of the dreaded fail.

Past three weeks I saw a difference; NK is now populated. Even had a druid with an impressive train in tow come up and KS the highland lion I had dotted down to 40%. I couldn't imagine these people all wanted quivers.

Poor rogues! Sorry, guys, I just didn't know!
