  • Sylvan Berries?

I have been doing high elf cultural robes, but the foraging of the Sylvan Berries in LFay has been really slow (with 1 forager, I average 5-6 berries an evening). I've heard rumors that they can be foraged in other zones, but I cant seem to find out where.

Does anyone know if this is true? If so, where else can I go to forage?

    Thanks all!

It is my understanding that the only place to forage them is LFay. They also drop somewhat uncommonly off the orcs as well. In a few hours of foraging and mass orcish slaughter with my necro I can rummage up a couple of stacks.

Since I wasn't a forager (cleric), the easiest way I found to get the Sylvan Berries was to AE the faerie camp in Lfay. You will take faction hits with Faerie, but if you don't mind doing this, it isn't a bad route especially if you're already in the zone foraging. They also occasionally drop Morning Dew.

I tried the orcs last night and got 2 berries after 3-4 clears of the 4 orc camps. Since the respawns are less than 8 minutes, I found the success rate to be much better than foraging.... so I was definietly happy.

As far as the fairies go, what's the drop rate with them? I'll go try them out tonight, but was curious to know what to expect. As a wizzie, I should be able to clear that entire camp with an AE or 2.

I never tried the faeries (wizard also) as the orcs respawn as fast as I can run between the 4 camps. I can get about a stack an hour (maybe a little more).

            Sylvan berries

Here are two links that may be of help. One is a Alla site link on the berries http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=14922 and another is a link to a forage site that is up to date and full of information on where to get any forage http://members.shaw.ca/ceinwein/Foraging.htm

            Hope this helps

This is not exactly about berries, but I found lichenclover dropping in Dalnir, primarily off goblins...

Orcs have always been the best bet for sylvan berries from what I have found. Fairys or whatever they are have a very low drop rate, I aed their camp several times only getting one. Also while aeing orc camps I will go up to the brownie city kill the 2 guards then AE the low lvl brownies inside, they can drop berries as well as morning dew...and nice brownie parts for baking. though brownies respawn time is much longer then the rocs, so check the brownie camp after clearing the orc camps 5-6 times.
