  • Post 158 without Luclin or PoP ?

Just wondering if there is anything else I can do besides Acrylia armor to get tailoring above 158......

I know there is the Fleeting Quiver, but I was wondering if ther was any other item to tailor without having Luclin or PoP.....the Luclin and PoP zones give me so much lag that hunting there is just unrealistic for me.

    thanks,

    Brewing (188)
    Baking (180)
    Pottery (122)
    Smithing (109)
    Tailoring (152)

and just because they're fun skills:
    Fishing 200
    Tracking 200
    Forage 198
Alcohol Tolerance 200 (like every good pathfinder should be maxed out)

Theres the velious armors: Arctic wyvern hide armor, othmir fur, cobalt drake etc. If you have the cash you can buy the hides in the bazaar or if 50+ you can farm them yourself. And if you really have the money you can make Solstice Robes all the way to 250. You can hunt EK for the silks. Acrylia isn't as easy as it looks anyway.
Do not start with me. You will not win. For I am a tree hugging dirt worshipper.

You have to have Luclin or PoP or a source for Celestial solvent to do robes.

            Ths is a falsehood.

I have heard this stated by 2 people, both of which may have been you.

            IT IS NOT TRUE.

              Nope

If you stand in the spires, even get the stone, without the expansion, when they fire you will get the message "You must have the Luclin expansion to journey to Luclin" or something similar. I had it happen on an account that didn't have Luclin or PoP. Heh, you get spoiled FAST by the bookports.

Bazaar is in Luclin so if you don't have that expansion you can't travel to it however if you have a friend that has it they can buy the solvent for the celestrial essences for you. You can then make robes to 250.

                  oops?

to defend myself a little, someone seems to take a liking to pointing me out as stupid apparently.

If i, in the future post something im going to add the phrase "im pretty sure" so as not to rile up those people who cant accept that others may not be perfect like themselves and misspeak.

I do believe, and still do..sorry i cant check, that they opened nexus up to everyone..sometime around the time when you could actually port to the moon from anywhere. I also thought (yeah i was pretty sure /rude) that they also opened up the bazaar, so people could sink cash into horses or whatnot..just unable to use trader mode since the ui was only for luclin peoples. Maybe im wrong, but in my head i could have sworn i read it in a patch message somewhere..my mistake was posting it as a fact, im sorry..shoot me. But if someone doesnt have luclin, go ahead and try..im interested to know if im going nuts or not

If that is true about bazaar and nexus available to all players then thats cool....

but I very highly doubt verant would do this. It goes against everything theyve done so far.. otherwise you'd be able to get to 60 (or 65) with out buying an expansion, use /raid without pop, etc... the bazaar was a huge selling point for luclin and (surprise it wasnt live for 8 months!!!) still is..

I hate to say it but your life would be a lot easier as a tailor if you did 1 of the following 2 things:

                    1) if money permits, upgrade or buy a new computer so you can handle luclin/pop..

or 2) if you are not a wood elf or halfling ranger, your skill is still at the end of the "easy" stage in the 150's.. you'd be better off to start up a wood elf or halfing (druid pref) to be your tailoring alt and do cultural til that maxes and then figure out how to get the last few points from there w/your servers auction channel.

Just be careful in the future about using caps when you contradict others. ('ALL') makes it seems like you were stating fact and not your unverified guess It did seem like your post was trying to shoot down the post in front of you. Hard to get mad at the 4 people who shot you down lol.
