  • Muramite needles and skill ups

I have just perfomed 14 combines for this recipe and gone from 187 to 192 in tailoring. Either I just got the most amazing streak of luck ever, or this is one hell of a nice path to 202 (at least if you have KT access).

You must tell me more! Where do you find muramite residue? According to the recipe listed on this site, it takes 4 bone chips and 1 muramite residue, but I know not whether that is dropped, sold, or crafted, and numerous inquiries to my friends (and some strangers) who frequent the GoD zones have been fruitless. I will be eternally grateful if you would share your secret with me. =)

Muramite residue is an uncommon but not rare drop from random trash mobs in Kod'Taz. A group can expect to collect one full stack in about 4 hours of XPing there. Unfortuantely you do need the KT flag (ie GoD trials 1-6, or Smith Rondo plus trials 5 and 6) to zone in.

I have another question with this. Its triv 202 for the needle itself, and really simple recipe (hard to obtain alot of components it seems though, got 2 today only but was by the hynids/crag's).

But you use the needle in another simple recipe, the hynid hair thread. High trivial (268) and really simple: 4 hynid hairs (i got like 2 stacks in 5 hours in kt, along with several aa) and the needle...and according to the recipe, the needle is returned both in success and failure. Is this really the case? Seems almost too good to be true.

The return of the needle would be in line with other recipes that use needles - leatherfoot bags, solstice robes, ornate leather/silk combines...

Look out on vendors for muramite residue - it's becoming more common, at least on Fennin.

Which vendors are you finding these on?..Are they mostly on the ones in Natimbi, or in PoK or where? What is the graphic on these things, when seen on vendor? Thanks

Muramite residue looks like a black pearl. Try PoK and GoD vendors.

Yes, the needle is returned on both success and failure. I've been using the hair strands for skill ups myself.
