Hi everyone. long time lurker first time poster. I'm currently working on the aid grimil earing. i've gotten jewelry, pottery, baking, brewing, fletching all to 250, blacksmithing to 222. and now its time for tailoring, and need some advice. im currently at 136. and figured id could do wu's till it maxed out. but then what? i thought i would be able to do ribbons. but as a friend told me you had to be the same race as the ribbon you were doing, is that right? if so, what would you suggest after wu's. I got a little over 100k left in my bank and ready to shell it all out over tailoring if i need to. can farm as well. I'm a 65 ranger with a little over 200 aa some elemental/some time stuff. any help with my journey for grimil ear would really help me out.

Do the ribbons, anyone can do those. It's what you do with the ribbons afterwards that you have to be a certain race for. After that, farm a lot of the superb and flawless hopperhides, and acrylia. Then farm some arctic wyvern and drake hides and velium. You do not say what race you are, so, I don't know if you have any cultural route. Good luck in your quest.

You can do Loy ribbons to 187 regardless of race. Combine the Dye with the appropriate shears and the correct ribbon. The robe combine is race restricted but anyone can do the ribbon precombines.
