  • Loom's are now Sewing Kit's

Last night while working on the Grimel's earring quest, I tried to do the Tailoring part. It requires you using a Loom. Well surprisingly i could not use the Loom in PoK, it was labeled "sewing kit". So i ran to bazaar then Shadowhaven. To my surprise they were all labeled "sewing kit" and would not allow me to combine in them, because they were Not loom's. Has anyone else ran into this, or noticed it?

strange the collasped sewing kit and pok loom are the only ones capable of pop combines. you sure your recipe was right. i'm not sure what they are supposed to be called. i've only used one once.

    Maker of Picnics.
Cooker of things best left unidentified.

All looms, whether in the Old World or in an expansion, are labelled "Sewing kit" for some reason.

The AG combine will only work in a PoP loom or collapsible sewing kit, even though old-world looms share the same label.

I'm not sure why your combine didn't work. If you double check your list of items, you may find your were missing one, or adding one too many. List your items here and we can help you troubleshoot.

Perhaps you saw 'sewing kit' on the PoK loom but didn't try the combine?

If you tried a planar combine in a non PoK loom it wouldn't have worked.

I suggest you try PoK again.

I did that exact step (making the asbestos underware) in PoK not 3 days ago and had not trouble (and no fails /cheer).

Youll need to use the PoK or colapseable kit for this step. Im 100% certain that your flaw was the pattern. Now most folks making a Robe would use a ...dun dun dun .. Robe Patter! However this is not the case with this step. Oddly you need a tunic pattern.

It may be odd, but it's not new. Unless they changed it while I wasn't looking, the robe pattern didn't come into use until they started seriously revamping the tradeskills and added cultural stuff, so the normal Raw Silk Robe uses... a tunic pattern. *shrugs*

                  Found my error.

Helps to put the earring in with the combine. Sorry for the useless thread.
