excell. sabertooth tiger hide.

also i am building up another toon and as i am building him up. i want to farm for my tailoring and baking supplies. atm he is a lvl 5 troll warrior and the newbie area in everfrost is mostly green to him. any ideas on where to farm. currently i am keeping all of the low/med./high quality bear/wolf/cat/lion/rockhopper/sabertooth hides/skins/pelts, spider/spiderling silks i come across, even finding a few low prices in the bazaar

Sabertooths, Grimalkins both drop Excellent sabertooth tiger hides in a variety of Kunark zones. Lake of Ill Omen has level 17 mobs that have a chance of dropping excellent sabertooth tiger hides. Also the Overthere I believe has higher level tigers that can drop the excellent tiger hides.

At the levels you can exp here the drop rate will be slow enough that this wont really be a skill up option. Even later you will be hard pressed to get enough excellent sabertooth tiger hides to use them as viable skill up route.

Cultural items are mostly used to provide some medium quality armor options until people can get better. They weren't really included to provide an alternate skill up method.

You can get all your skills to 250 with AA points.

nedira's (sp) landing around 20ish. griffons and anacondas drop meat. can take baking to 250. i brute forced mtps myself though.

Ive tried to farm ex. sabretooth tiger hides in LOIO and the drop rate is abysmal. Maybe 2-3 an hour. Are tehre any BETTER places for em? Higher level tigers maybe?

Trak's teeth has then and i got a few hides there, most all of it was dk blue at 46

I don't think any zone is going to have a high enough drop rate of excellent sabertooth tiger hides to make it a viable option for skilling to 250. Ive heard people using 800 to 2000 or more combines to go from 200 to 250. It would take forever to get that many excellent sabertooth tiger hides and then you will have to start foraging stuff to make the temper for the boning.

Ceremonial Solstice Robes, LOY robes, Arctic Wyvern, Haze Panther, Holgresh stuff, Othimir stuff and Cobalt Drake are the usual suspects in the 250 tailoring connundrum. The cultural stuff is what people make when they get to 250, not what they use to get there.
