  • Rockhopper Grades

I'm curious, and also a bit brain dead, from a 10 hour session in Dawnshroud farming Rockhopper hides. I've been saving all pelts from Medium on up.
I took a few High quality hides and "skinned" them down to Medium to complete a stack. But, when I tried skinning the Flawless grade to Superb, I was told I couldn't combine those ingredients.
I now realize, after reading about Acrylia Reinforced stuff, that they wont be wasted. But why can't they be downgraded?

your high quality hides can be made into backpacks, so downgrading them isn't really a good idea, unless the leather padding market on your server is very high.

As far as I know the superb and flawless hides can only be used directly in tailoring. On Xev they sell for 250-300 each - much more than you would get for any other use, so no point in degrading them anyway.

Heh heh heh. Thanks for the tips. I've got a bad case of the "Gotta get to 188!!". I will steel myself to restraining that impulse.
