Tailoring Skill Ups Past 220

Hi, i wondering what the typical skill up rate past 220 is for tailoring? Is it still about 1 in 20? See i recently did 120 flawless Rockhopper mask combines and didnt get a single skill up at 222 skill. Found this to be pretty odd, never happened to me before with tailoring. Guildmates of mine are also reporting that its taking them 100s of combines per skill point past 220 in tailoring.

Is this how its always been? Or have me and a few of my guildmates just been very unlucky. Anyone else getting similar results?

I just went from 217 to 250 last night/this morning.

I had 21 stacks of arctic wyvern.
I had 6 stacks of othmir.
I had 22 flawless rockhopper.
I had 14 cobalt drake hides.
I had one stack of random stuff.

So for 33 points it took me about 600 clicks or 30 stacks. Which I think breaks down to 1 in 18.

I will say my last two points took about 6 of those stacks but that is only because a shadowknight who hates me said that the RNG was kind to me on my 248th point.

It's roughly 1 in 20 on average, just like every other skill. But it's not unusual to get three skill gains in a row in one session, or go 100+ combines without a skill gain in another.

I also get about one in 20 skillups on reinforced acrylia. But many people have had bad - REALLY BAD - runs that would make your blood turn cold just to imagine. The RNG is very streaky.

from 220 to 240 I got 1 in 20ish. I normally did my skill runs when I got at least 20 combines and I would see 0-2 skill ups per 20 combines.

Just did 200 of combines of arctic mask's the other day. Started at 218. Finished at 227.

So thats about 1 in every 22. Thats with 255 wisdom.

Oh and did trophy combine the next day, got trophy and a skillup:P

the " But it's not unusual to get three skill gains in a row in one session" yes it is. got two in a row twice. averaged 1in 40 till 244 or 245. some get under 1 in 20. some get twice that. good luck. most have a 100 combine plus skill point.

You never remember the stretches where you get a skill-up every 15 combines or so.

You ALWAYS remember the 100+ combine stretches with no skillups.

My best ever run was 7 skillups off 18 combines in in the 170s or 180s I forget. My eyes just about popped out of my head.

Of course not too long after I did 80+ solstice robes for no skillups so I feel I will not be paying for my lucky streak in my next life.

last week i cleared my mules of the few flawless rockhopper hides i had.

72 of em.

So i bang out a mixture of masks and Wrists.

6 skillups in 72 combines...... 1 in 12

280wis, skill 216 to 222!

I am at 229 skill atm, did about 100 combines and no points, it really is maddening considering i was getting 1 skillup on avg per 20 combines and this is with 355 int too, i really hate the RNG today

that happened to me, but only once, so hopefully your hairpulling is over.

I am currently at 240 skill. I do not know about averag since 220 but I have kept a combine log since 175 and I average 33.6 combines to a skill up.

I have wisdom gear which combined with KEI gives me 253 wisdom for my crafting outfit.

My best run has been 2, my worst 148.
