  • Bamboo Shoots?

Heya guys sorry if this has been discussed lately, I did a search on bamboo shoots and havent seen any recent information.. was wondering what the best option is to get this? Im a erudite tailor and this is basically my only option, as the seahorse roe is pretty hard to get. I was in Eruds Crossing, whiped the island about 3 times, and seahorses about 5 times, didnt get one..

I talked to a friend and he said he got alot from the bazaar, I just looked and none are there, so I was wondering how can I as an enchanter get the bamboo? Can I kill things and get it at a good rate? Or am I pretty much screwed and have to buy them or have someone forage them for me?

Also.. is there anything else I could use to raise tailoring instead of the robes/ribbons? Im 156 tailoring at the moment and money isnt much of a problem, though I dont really want to spend it needlessly. Im a penny pincher.

There are only two ways to get it: (1) a RARE forage from Stonebrunt (yield of approximately 2-5 per hour using 200 forage skill), (2) a RARE drop from pandas (young, cubs, mature, elder) in Stonebrunt (about 1 in 5). Note that the pandas are also a very uncommon spawn and you will have a hard time finding them without tracking.

Overall, it is much easier to get Seahorse Roe in quantity; just summon a pet and run around the top of pit in circles killing all the respawns, which should net you 5-10 drops per hour. While you should clear everything (except cats!), only spiders and snakes will yield the Roe.

First, you still have two points of Wu's to finish. Next, ribbons are your best bet to 187 if you don't mind spending some money, but not Erudite ribbons, as they use components from zones that are always empty. The easiest ones are the Gnome ribbons using Steamfont Spring Water. You will often find lichen clovers, honey berries, and sylvan berries for sale in the Bazaar too.

Getting to 187 is the easy part. Past that, you will have the usual tough choices: slow, endless farming of cultural robes/wyverns/otters/rockhoppers, or the platinum-guzzling and wrist-breaking solstice robes.

[Edit] Another option I thought of: the Lemming Fur Backpacks (trivial reported here at 176), which are a little expensive to make but have resale value. You will need large quantites of foraged lemming fur from the Miragul's theme in LDoN.

to get to 187 use ribbons - the steamfront kobolds are really easy and decently fast. Also ribbons seem to have a decent skillup rate compared to anything else.

Post 187 I'm doing essentially solstice to 210. I'm an erudite and have the robe option also however the limiting item isn't the seahorse roe but the research combines. The only copies of Salil's 64 rt are at 1000 and 100. The rune of the inverse is at 5k./ I kid you not, 5k. (someone must be holding them for a friend)
