Sea Horse Roe

A couple of minor corrections to earlier posts: The seahorse spawn off of the point is actually 2 spawns, a fast two horse spawn (I'd guess at least as fast as 5 minutes) and a slower 1 horse spawn (maybe 10 or 12 minutes) that seems to be shared with mermaids.

At least for me (lvl 65 and amiable to the cats) the spiders, etc were not social and the cats did not aggro when I killed spiders right in front of them.

Vampire bat spit or whatever it's called should have a different icon, it looks just like the roe and gets you way too excited.

The roe is edible, it's a snack. If you inadvertently run out of food on a raid, you and your horse will eat a stack so fast it will really depress you.

Yea.. the seahorse roe is also rare off either the snakes/spiders/seahorses seems to drop off the seahorses more though. =( They need to really even out the rarity of these dye components =/ *IE Bamboo shoot, this roe.. and others* I ran through Steamfont and got 51 spring waters in like 2 hours, been in Eruds crossing for about an hour and Ive gotten 4 roes.. =/


Spawn time on the 2 seahorses is exactly 3 minutes, other one seems like 10-15ish minutes.

Sea horses do indeed drop it far more often, the only problem is that there are only 3 of them. The others rarely drop them but there are a butt load more. I tend to average 1 per island clear. The island itself is an easy clear, go aggro them all and then aoe.

On the north eastern corner of the island, theres a lone kitty standing on the edge of the water, to the left of him *if facing north* hop into the water, stay above the water and go down slowly so you can see everything in the water for that brief moment * I <3 bugs* If you cant find em still Ill get you a loc later.

I think the loc for the 2 spawn is about -470, +801. The single spawn is just off shore from the single kitty. The seahorses 'patrol' between the single and double spawn point.

Looked for your other posts but couldn't find them. What other value does Seahorse roe have besides as a snack? I have one of them and am selling it in the bazaar for, I think, 1 Pp. Is that a mistake?

Sea Horse roe is used for making the LoY ribbons by any race and for making the LoY robes by Erudites.

Most of the other LoY ribbon materials sell for 50 - 100 pp when available on Xev.

also sea horse roe is used in making a stat drink, Fizzy Odus Juice, but it's not worth it, Qeynos Afternoon Tea is much better.
