  • effective skill up for dorf?

    Hiyas,

The time has come to return to that sowing box.

I'm dorf paladin, with current skill of 175.

Therefore, no cultural tailoring and an inability to forage so it sees lots of options that other folks have available being denied.

I've done some ribbons, although paying out 100p for dye in the bazaar and a further 104p for ribbon, so it's over 200p per combine and you know the poor sell back to merchants.

In short, I'm looking for advice of what options are on the cards to progress with.

If it helps, current skill set at this time:

    Baking 192
    Blacksmith 240
    Brewing 239
    Fletching 200
    Jewelcraft 250
    Pottery 191
    Tailoring 175

    Cheers.

Studded Acrylia armor and then Reinforced...
You can do the farming yourself and it will cost you next to nothing. You can buy hides and acrylia in the bazaar but that gets to be as expensive as ribbons.

I would recommend that before you do any more combines you get some wis gear to put you up to at least 255 (280 w/kei). You are level 65 so you either have the money to shell out or you can concievably farm the items or xp in places where decent items drop. Maxing your wis should be your first goal as it will save you time, money and a combines in the long run.

Acrylia is viable but very time consuming (or costly if you take the bazaar route)

I would suggest that you go to WL and farm tigeraptors since there are a number of static spawns right around the SS zone and the forage needed (drake eggs) are usually cheap as dirt and plentiful in the bazaar. You should have no problem getting velium at 65 either.

I hear ya brother! Unfortunately, on Vazaelle the hoppers are usually taken by some aeing bard or another, so acrylia really isn't feasable. Arctic Wyvern masks are somewhat doable if you have a friendly drood (/wave Piroli!) who will sell you the results of their kiting in CS. Otherwise, stick to Ceremonial Solstice Robes. Every once in a while you succeed and can make a little money back. Specially good if you have, as I said, a friendly Tunare drood (to mass imbue the emeralds for you).

I've calculated your odds of success. Sorry, looks like you're gonna die.

          feedback

          thanks for the feedback.

For infos, my wis after a few gear changes and kei is 274.

As you can see from first post i've done various other trade efforts so it was a lesson learned long ago.

I'll look up the recipies for the ones you recommend and see where it can take me.

Appreciate the time taken to reply, and for picking out some options.

          Thanks.

quite a bit of arctic wyvern in my guild. the velium is contested now because of the bits recipe in smithing but fish while medding and your fine.

To save some money and a lot of time, I suggest "Platinum White Ribbon" as your recipe to use.

The farmed component is actually a pretty common drop off the kobolds in Steamfont Mountains. It's what I used, and I highly suggest it to people who are sick of paying for the tempers.

Note: This ribbon will get you to 182, not 187.

              Hope this helps!
