  • Wu's Crystal Silk Gi

    While reading the thread on Enchanted Velium Bits being a sort of "holy grail" smithing option to go from 188-222, one poster mentioned that there was a similar item for tailoring, and that it was called "Wu's crystal silk gi". I've searched for info on this but have yet to locate anything. Can anyone provide any info on this please?

    I'm currently at 160 tailoring and have stocked up some acrylia, but am havin a hard time finding hopper hides (bazaar prices are thru the roof on The Rathe for these). I am also unable to forage and seldom see dye components in the bazaar, so ribbons are not much of an option unless i get a foraging toon up in levels to max foraging skill. If there was an equivalent to Enchanted Velium Bits for tailoring, i would be one very happy camper.

    never heard of it.

    but...from the Grand Robe of the Oracle Quest:

    Combine: Phase Spider Silk + Phase Spider Silk
    Trivial: > 220, < 231, Skill-restricted combine: > 163, <= 171

    phase spiders in Dragon Necropolis drop this silk, and it's not a high drop rate, so don't think you will be farming hundreds of these for skilling up.

      Drop rate is about 1 in 20 - 30 minutes, soloing there with a 65 nec.

      So if you are able to solo there, you are looking at about 1 hour of mindless killing of light blue mobs per attempt. Not a good option.

        Aye, it's a bad way to skillup. Your best bets are still the conventional methods unfortunately =\

          not so bad from my point of view. As a cleric, that's about the drop rate I can get for flawless hopper hides.

            As a cleric, you won't be killing anywhere near as fast as a 65 Necro...
